7 Rules for Living. How to Achieve Wholeness in a Chaotic World. - Santos Omar Medrano Chura
Rule 1. Create your own future with the law of action.
What is the law of action: The law of action is a physical principle that states that every action generates an equal reaction in the opposite direction. This means that when one object exerts a force on another, the latter exerts an equal force in the opposite direction on the former. For example, when you push on a wall, the wall pushes on you with the same force. This law is also known as Newton's third law or the principle of action and reaction.
How to apply the law of action in your life: The law of action applies not only to physical objects, but also to your actions and decisions. Everything you do or don't do has an effect on your life and the lives of others. Therefore, you are responsible for your own future and you can influence it with your actions. If you want to achieve your goals and dreams, you must act accordingly and not wait for things to happen by themselves. Your actions must be consistent with your values, your principles and your desires.
1.1. How to define your goals and dreams
To create your own future, the first thing you must do is define your goals and dreams. These are the objectives you want to achieve in your life, both in the short and long term. Your goals and dreams should be clear, specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound. For example, if you want to write a book, your goal could be: Write a 200-page book on rules for living in 6 months
. Your goals and dreams should reflect your values, your interests and your purpose. They should be something that you are passionate about and that motivates you, that makes you feel happy and fulfilled.
Self-reflection: Take the time to think about what you are really passionate about and what makes you happy. Ask yourself some questions about what you want to achieve in your life, both personally and professionally. What is it that you love to do? What is it that makes you proud? What is it that challenges you? What is it that gives you meaning? What is it that you want to change or improve? These questions will help you identify your values, your interests and your purpose.
Visualization: Imagine how you would like to see yourself in the future. Create a mental picture of your ideal situation, both in the short and long term. Where would you like to be? What would you like to do? Who would you like to be with? How would you like to feel? Visualization will help you create a vision, i.e. a general and ambitious goal that inspires and motivates you. You can use different visualization techniques, such as meditation, vision board, audio or writing.
Set SMART objectives: Define specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound goals. These goals are the steps that will lead you to fulfill your vision. They should be clear, concrete and realistic. For example, if your vision is to write a book, a SMART goal might be: Write the first chapter of my book in two weeks
. These goals will help you focus your attention, organize your time and evaluate your progress.
Prioritize: Order your goals according to their importance and relevance to you. You can't do everything at the same time, so you must choose which goals are most urgent, most necessary or most beneficial to you. You can use different criteria to prioritize, such as impact, effort, value or difficulty. For example, if you have several goals related to your health, education and work, you can decide which one brings you more well-being, more knowledge or more income. These priorities will help you optimize your resources, avoid overload and make better decisions.
Plan: Develop an action plan detailing how you are going to achieve each of your goals. In this plan, you must specify what activities you are going to do, when you are going to do them, where you are going to do them, with whom you are going to do them and with what resources you are going to do them. You should also establish indicators that allow you to measure your progress and your results. For example, if your goal is to write the first chapter of your book, your plan could include activities such as researching, writing, revising and editing; indicators such as the number of pages, the time spent or the quality of the text; and resources such as books, computer or proofreader.
1.2. How to plan and execute your actions to achieve your goals
Define your goals and dreams: The first thing to do is to know what you want to achieve in your life, both in the short and long term.
Plan your actions: Once you have your goals and dreams defined, you must plan the actions you will take to achieve them. These actions are the steps that will lead you to fulfill your vision. They must be concrete, realistic and effective. For example, if your goal is to write a book, your actions could be: Research the topic, outline the chapters, write a draft, revise and correct the text, find a publisher, publish the book, etc.
. These actions should be organized into an action plan that details what you are going to do, when you are going to do it, how you are going to do it, and with what resources you are going to do it.
Execute your actions: The last step is to execute your actions according to your action plan. This involves putting into practice what you
