Introduction: this book will be hard for you

This book is going to be hard for you. I wrote it specifically so that it would be and throw in your face what is the reality in which you are probably living and, in which you do not feel happy and fulfilled. You probably work a job you don't love, just to make sure you pay your rent, your bills, and your weekend treats. Maybe you have a dream (or two) in your drawer, but every time you open that drawer your heart tightens because you feel that, perhaps, they will remain unrealized dreams.

This book wants to throw reality in your face, and wake you up from the state of slumber and resignation you are probably in now.

Some of the things you read will perhaps be a challenge to your mind and, probably, will hurt you a little. But I am not here to stroke your hair, but to make you look toward a definite direction: the direction in which I want to take you as you read this book is that of Awakening, of Your Awakening. Awakening from a monotonous, unified life. Uniformed to social stereotypes that keep you subtly but strongly attached to the state of frustration and, probably, dissatisfaction in which you now find yourself.

I will shine a light on these social traps you are mired in now, and make sure to inspire you toward a more conscious and focused life. The way forward is to change YOU deep inside, because everything, really EVERYTHING starts from there. THE THOUGHT.

YOU are more than you imagine you are now

Whatever your idea of yourself is right now, you are MUCH more.

Maybe you were born to a disadvantaged, poor family with few resources. Perhaps you were born in a country that offers few opportunities.  You are much more than the condition of your family and the place where you were born.

Within You lies a potential seed of growth and fulfillment that is just waiting to be fed and nurtured daily for its growth and blossoming.

Don't be satisfied with what you see around you, the bed you get up in (if you have one), or the food you currently eat. Beyond any condition you are in today, your potential greatness resides within you and no one can take it away from you. Trust it and know that, with the right attention and energy, it will one day come forth. Just as a small acorn holds the potential of a great oak, so are you right now. The acorn is not content to live and die as an acorn: accept its potential and rely on it.

Life is a path of growth and evolution, and in each being is hidden this great Potential just waiting to be brought to light. Have faith in it, nurture it every day, as if it were a small flower amidst the winds of life's distractions. Nurture it with your attention every day and with the faith of the farmer. It will take you someday to places where you might not have imagined at first, when you were doubtful and frustrated by your starting condition.

Life needs people like You, who trust in the force of life itself. That infinite force that turns the earth, nourishes the oceans and turns the stars, like a perfect clock.

Believe in yourself and make your life a great little masterpiece.

You will be rewarded one day based on how imaginative you have been in imagining the best version of Yourself and your life. Don't settle for being an acorn and rotting in the ground. Embrace your bigger Vision and try to stretch your mind toward bigger and bigger things and goals.

Do it in small steps, don't be afraid of great distances. Just focus on the next step, YOUR step. That is all.

Life has allowed you to be born into this life, bringing you into the light. Now it is your responsibility and opportunity to give birth to Yourself, envisioning Yourself as a better and different person than You are now. You must step out of the material and mental limitations of your present condition. You must imagine your best You and you must live now, in advance and in your mind, what you believe and FEEL belongs to you, in the near or distant future.

No one can get out of his condition unless he can imagine himself in a new level of Being and living.
