About this ebook
James Graver
The author grew up in a small farming community in northern Saskatchewan. Life was not without its struggles. And work wasn’t that plenteous so his dad being a farmer moved around from place to place to get work. During that time his parents decided to divorce and being the second oldest child out of 5 children he decided to move in with his father while the rest stayed with their mom. As he was growing up, the more stubborn he became each time he moved, the school work was so different and hard to understand took its toll on his emotions, the more uncontrolled they became. So he moved back with his mom in the city. The habit he developed of rebellion at everything took its toll on her. She tried to help and with her ailments it was too late. During that time he found a fascination growing towards the occult, because of his ability to see into the spirit world he was looking for answers as to the why of his abilities. In that time Jesus met him on the road that was headed for eternal damnation of his soul. Through fear of the unknown coupled with his lack of trust for everyone he met, he gave his soul to the one he sensed was the only one that really cared for him and hasn’t regretted that decision for over 43 years. He became an ordained minister and is now bringing that knowledge from the school of hard knocks to you the reader hoping to help others lost in their way from that same school.

I believe that we, as a people, are in more trouble than ever before. When I was young, I never realized things would get this bad. When you’re so caught up with life, you never have time to think of others who struggle every day just to get through life. Even parts of the body of Christ are in trouble and don’t see what’s coming, that’s why Luke 21:26 is not a part of our thoughts until it is upon us:
And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
And unless we can come together in the body of Christ with unification and agreement about the Bible or its teachings, and until we can truly watch out for one another, events such as those described in the scriptures will continue to happen: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you [the priestly nation] have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you that you shall be no priest to Me; seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children
(Hosea 4:6 AMPC).
Some believers and most unbelievers have rejected revelation knowledge that comes from God’s Word. They have replaced it with the carnal knowledge of this world; in other words, they are convinced that it is a part of life and death. Everything in this world has an expiration date. They don’t search out or discern what they hear from true spiritual leaders or false spiritual leaders. They just accept what is preached to them, taking any form of knowledge as the truth.
James 3: 14–17:
But if you have bitter jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry, selfish ambition) in your heart’s, (souls) do not pride yourselves on it and thus be in defiance of and false to the Truth. This [superficial] wisdom is not such as comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual (animal), even devilish (demoniacal). For wherever there is jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry and selfish ambition), there will also be confusion (unrest, disharmony, rebellion) and all sorts of evil and vile practices. But the wisdom from above is first of all pure (undefiled); then it is peace-loving, courteous (considerate, gentle). [It is willing to] yield to reason, full of compassion and good fruits; it is wholehearted and straightforward, impartial and unfeigned (free from doubts, wavering, and insincerity). (AMPC)
Because of this inability to discern or search for the truth, people in this state of mind have the tendency to develop itching ears; they will listen, but they will believe anything they deem to be the truth even if it is based on lies. 2 Timothy 4:2–4:
Herald and preach the Word! Keep your sense of urgency [stand by, be at hand and ready], whether the opportunity seems to be favorable or unfavorable. [Whether it is convenient or inconvenient, whether it is welcome or unwelcome, you as preacher of the Word are to show people in what way their lives are wrong.] And convince them, rebuking and correcting, warning and urging and encouraging them, being unflagging and inexhaustible in patience and teaching. For the time is coming when [people] will not tolerate (endure) sound and wholesome instruction, but, having ears itching [for something pleasing and gratifying], they will gather to themselves one teacher after another to a considerable number, chosen to satisfy their own liking and to foster the errors they hold, And will turn aside from hearing the truth and wander off into myths and man-made fictions.
This book started out as a sermon but has turned into teaching for Christian and non-Christians alike. It is about word seeds, referring to both natural seeds and spiritual seeds, and the part they all have to play in our lives of the flesh and soul. Some of these things may be difficult to hear; I know they were for me. I’m writing my thoughts the way I’ve seen them unfold. As I look and examine myself I’ve made some pretty important discoveries about myself and others around me. I have also learned about how to take control of my emotion’s according to what the Bible calls the inner human-the soul. I am realizing uncontrolled thoughts and emotions is where my troubles originate but with positive understanding and correcting habits, I am becoming a better person to everyone around me. There is a scripture in the KJV Bible that reads
Matthew 5: 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. And that word does not mean what people think it does. Its meaning does not mean flawlessness it means mature. So why would Jesus say for us to be perfect like God the Father if it was impossible to achieve? So when you look at it that way why would you not obey this next verse?
2 Corinthians, 4: 16: Therefore we do not become discouraged (utterly spiritless, exhausted, and wearied out through fear). Though our outer man is [progressively] decaying and wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day after day
(AMP).
Based on these discoveries, I see it is the inner man the Soul that needs the work the outward man is a reflection, of the workings of the inward man. That’s what this book is aimed at. Because when the inward man changes the outward man will automatically be obedient to what the soul desires. And with that knowledge I am able to help others who want to understand themselves on the inward man better. I pray also that, as you read these pages, you will see what I see concerning the Soul and the great influence it has on outward man of the flesh. I hope this message will challenge you to examine the kind of foundation you are building your life on. Read Luke 6:47–49 carefully:
For everyone who comes to Me and listens to My words [in order to heed their teaching] and does them, I will show you what he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug and went down deep and laid a foundation upon the rock; and when a flood arose, the torrent broke against that house and could not shake or move it, because it had been securely built or founded on a rock. But he who merely hears and does not practice doing My words is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation, against which the torrent burst, and immediately it collapsed and fell, and the breaking and ruin of that house was great. (AMPC)
The foundation of rock is the knowledge of God’s Word, which is eternal. The foundation of sand is the knowledge of this world, acquired from the five senses which are temporal. One day, the foundation of sand will be useless when we stand before God, but for now it is essential while we live life here on Earth. Have you ever heard the saying that time waits for no one? Even as you read this book, time is slipping away and the world is going to end that is fact
As for me, I’m building my house/life and my belief system—on a rock that is the knowledge of God’s Word and the construction of it has been going on for over 46 years but it won’t take a new believer that long if they really want to change. It is a firm foundation rather than shifting one of sand that is weakened by the storms of this life. You could say I’m practicing to serve God while I am here so I will be able to continue to do it when I get to my real home heaven. I’m trying to share with you how simple God made things for us. Yet it can be very difficult to understand. There is a difference between servants and slaves God wants you to serve from the goodness that is in your soul. Satan wants you to be his slave to the evil that is in your soul, but Without God’s word or his help, it is next to impossible to learn and without knowing God gave us the power the strength the wisdom and discipline, we will continue to be a slave to the just the dark side of the five physical senses anger, fear, bitterness, unforgiveness, and so on instead of the positive side of these emotions. We learn not by memorizing the Word only; we learn by example most of us don’t because we love the darkness more than the light.
John 3.19:19-21 (This is the judgment [that is, the cause for indictment, the test by which people are judged, the basis for the sentence]: the Light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil.
