About this ebook

In this eBook 6 we will now learn answers to one of the questions we all ask ourselves one time or another. At my death where will I go? I would like to relate a true story about my uncle many years ago. He was a big man 6’4” or more. He lied about his age when he was 16 years old and got a job with the railroad as a fireman on a steam locomotive. He worked his way up to an engineer driving the train from point to point and from town to town. One day we as a family were sitting in the front room of my parent’s home and my uncle was ask: what do you think is going to happen to you when you die? He thought for a moment and looked up and said: well, I believe when you die you a just damn dead and that is all there is to it. Sadly, there are many people who think the same way today. There is much more to this life than just the few years we live as mortals on this earth. God has a much larger plan for us all. It is a good plan and one we can learn about and gain great comfort and happiness from. You see in all the eBooks I have written a graph titled the “Plan of Salvation” showing God’s Plan from the pre-existence to the final placement of all depending on how they choose to live their life in mortality. I put it in every book because of the importance it is to us. Death though, all ways a sad time, can be mitigated somewhat with the knowledge that it is more of a beginning that an end. That statement might be a new and strange concept to many but if you have been taught before or read in the eBooks thus far you know we were all taught these things in the pre-existence and we as mortals today accepted and wanted to experience this mortal probation willingly knowing that we all have the potential to return and live with God In exaltation in the celestial world depending on the type of life we choose to live here in mortality. We must remind ourselves that death is a separation of the body and the spirit. The spirit is eternal and will always be. The mind of man is in the spirit. The spirit and the body will be reunited upon our resurrection at the designated time never again to part. This will all be discussed in greater detail in the next eBook 6 Titled “Final Judgment”. It is now in this mortal time we are living on this planet to do all we can to learn of the mission of Jesus Christ, His atonement, and His commandments to live righteous lives and be worthy to return to live with Him. This takes effort on the part of each of us. We will not gain salvation with Deity as with those who have done so by default. We must be actively engaged in this work. Read on now and enjoy.

God's Plan for all Mankind - Louis Brent Roberts

    Final Judgment

The Three Kingdoms of Glory and Conditions of Judgment

    Alvin R. Dyer, Who Am I?, p.545

There are two revelations, in particular, given to the Prophet Joseph Smith which give meaning and understanding to the conditions of judgment that will confront every man and woman as they individually stand before the great throne of final judgment. Notwithstanding that all men shall die, they shall rise again, a spiritual body, and the body each will receive will be in accordance with the degree of glory, or lack of it, to which they will be assigned. That resurrection of the natural body, in and of itself, does not assure an assignment to the highest division of eternal existence even though such is made possible by it, is made clear by the Lord: For what doth it profit a man if a gift is bestowed upon him, and he receive not the gift? Behold, he rejoices not in that which is given unto him, neither rejoices in him who is the giver of the gift. And again, verily I say unto you, that which is governed by law is also preserved by law and perfected and sanctified by the same. That which breaketh a law, and abideth not by law, but seeketh to become a law unto itself, and willeth to abide in sin, and altogether abideth in sin, cannot be sanctified by law, neither by mercy, justice, nor judgment. Therefore, they must remain filthy still. All kingdoms have a law given; And there are many kingdoms; for there is no space in the which there is no kingdom; and there is no kingdom in which there is no space, either a greater or a lesser kingdom. And unto every kingdom is given a law; and unto every law there are certain bounds also and conditions. All beings who abide not in those conditions are not justified.

The condition of man as to the absorption of the laws of God, making the resultant effect the very nature and character of his being, is that power which determines, by the irrevocable laws of existence, which of the divisions or kingdoms in immortality and eternal life that can be adjusted to, or which man can abide by.

The Laws of Progression and Impelled Justice

Concerning the laws of eternal progress and of impelled justice when these laws are obeyed and absorbed to be a very part of the individual being, the Lord announced this governing principle: Whatever principle of intelligence we attain unto in this life, it will rise with us in the resurrection.

And if a person gains more knowledge and intelligence in this life through his diligence and obedience than another, he will have so much the advantage in the world to come. There is a law, irrevocably decreed in heaven before the foundations of this world, upon which all blessings are predicated- And when we obtain any blessing from God, it is by obedience to that law upon which it is predicated.

The Judgment of Assignment Before the Throne of God

    Alvin R. Dyer, Who Am I?, p.546 – 547

It appears from the many revelations from God which have been given pertaining to resurrection and of the judgments that will take place, as a preparation, during the millennium; and of the perfect knowledge each individual will have of himself as to the extent of his righteousness or unrighteousness; of his feeling of inward guilt or of inward joy, that as man approaches the great throne of God for the final judgment, it will be largely a matter of assigning each individual to that state or degree of existence which he is entitled to receive. Obviously, as has been stated, divisions will be made in the vast concourse of souls who will come forward.

Both God the Father and Christ will be present to make these assignments which will be made after all have been resurrected. Judgments will have been made by the testimony of the just, and according to the works of each man in the light of perfect justice, and in accordance with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Second Epistle General of Peter

Bruce R. McConkie, Doctrinal New Testament Commentary, 3 vols., 3:, p.324

In his Second Epistle, the Chief Apostle discusses three doctrines of transcendent import:

    1. Making our calling and election sure;

    2. False teachers in the Church, who shall be damned for their heretical doctrines; and

    3. Our Lord's glorious return, amid the fires of heaven, whose heat shall melt the mountains and cleanse the vineyard of corruption.

Peter knew the doctrines of his Lord and had a blunt, rugged, emphatic way of presenting them that is marvelous to behold. Nowhere else in ancient writ do we find the door so frankly opened to a knowledge of the course men must pursue to have their calling and election made sure; nowhere else in Biblical teachings is found such a plain, unvarnished recitation of the burning of the Lord's vineyard at his return to earth. And as for false teachers-how better can they be rebuked than to equate their course with the madness of Balaam, whose dumb ass spoke out to rebuke his iniquity?

Make Your Calling and Election Sure

Bruce R. McConkie, Doctrinal New Testament Commentary, 3 vols., 3:, p.326

Among those who have received the gospel, and who are seeking diligently to live its laws and gain eternal life, there is an instinctive and determined desire to make their calling and election sure. Because they have tasted the good things of God and sipped from the fountain of eternal truth, they now seek the divine presence, where they shall know all things, have all power, all might, and all dominion, and in fact be like Him who is the great Prototype of all saved beings-God our Heavenly and Eternal Father. (D. & C. 132:20.) This is the end objective, the chief goal of all the faithful, and there is nothing greater in all eternity, for there is no gift greater than the gift of salvation. (D. & C. 6:13.)

Bruce R. McConkie, Doctrinal New Testament Commentary, 3 vols., 3:, p.326

It is little wonder then that the Prophet Joseph Smith, particularly during the latter and crowning years of his mortal ministry, repeatedly exhorted the saints to press forward with that steadfastness in Christ which would enable them to make their calling and election sure. I am going on in my progress for eternal life, he said of himself; and then in fervent pleading to all the saints, he exclaimed: Oh! I beseech you to go forward, go forward and make your calling and your election sure.

    (Teachings, p. 366.)

As a prelude to analyzing Peter's words on this subject-and they rank in spiritual grandeur and
