    Perspective Factor Conclusion

    Introduction

My wife, Diane, and I have been on a journey with the Father for many years now, seeking His perspective in every area of life. The contents of this book are a combination of the first three manuscripts I had written before writing the manuscript that became the book 12 Keys to Understanding and Experiencing God’s Perspective.

Let me start by saying your perspective is not what you see but how you see what you see. I discuss some of our experiences in this book and some places in Scripture where we see people’s perspectives and then our creator’s perspective comparatively.

A factor is something that actively contributes to a result. How you see things does play a major role in the results you will have in every area of life. This is The Perspective Factor: Our Perspectives vs. the Creator’s Perspective.

It all started with a message I shared at a men’s conference about God’s perspective compared to ours. A prophetic challenge was presented to me by the other speaker of the conference to seek to put that message into a book. The result was the first manuscript, which then became two more manuscripts and then the 12 Keys book.

In this book, I went back through the first three manuscripts and compiled the information that didn’t get used it the 12 Keys and condensed it into what I suppose you can call a prequel book. This book has some personal testimony in it and a lot of the steps documenting us putting everything under the microscope of the Father’s Word that led to where we are today.

This decision has and continues to change our lives daily, and if you honestly put everything under the microscope of His Word, you too will see great changes in your life.

    Part 1

    The Father

    Challenged from the Start

As you read this book, I believe that you, as we did when we found this truth, will see just how important perspective really is. Perspective is not what you see but how you see what you see, and to go a step further to see the way our Father in heaven sees is to have His perspective.

Our perspectives are challenged right from the start and changed if and when we allow it to be. At one point we are just living our lives like normal, then when we get introduced to where we are spiritually, we find out about the sin debt we are carrying as a result of our fallen mankind nature. Now the Father thankfully didn’t leave it that way by providing the atoning sacrifice through His person of Yeshua, paying our sin debt in full on the tree.

Upon receiving this revelation of our perspectives which, for the most part, were typically based on our opinions or feelings more than facts, we were suddenly challenged by a new perspective. We found heaven and hell and our eternity-given spirit will exist forever in one of those two states. Hopefully, everyone reading this has already made the most important of active decisions being "delivered [out of] darknessinto the kingdom of [H]is dear Son" (Col. 1:13)—being born again into newness of life covenant. The passage goes on to say, "In whom we have redemption through [H]is bloodthe forgiveness of sins" (Col. 1:14)—being guided and taught by the Father’s set-apart Spirit, which we will discuss in detail in part 3.

Having made that active decision, I hope all of you, as we did, desire or come to desire to seek the Father’s perspective in every area of life as opposed to your own. To the best of our ability, we now endeavor to line up our lives with His Word and please Him because we love Him. The more we get lined up with His Word, the more we can partake of His best. If you honestly evaluate your life as we did, you will find things that don’t line up with His Word as we did. Then ask yourself, Are those things really worth holding on to, or is getting closer to and being more pleasing to the Father of greater importance? There are so many things that can be done or not be done that can rob us of the very best that the Father has for us, most of which are based on our perspectives as we get caught up in this here and now, temporary physical realm and the cares of life. We read in 1 Peter 5:7, "[Cast] all your care upon Him; for He cares for you, and in Psalms 55:22, Cast your burden on Yahweh, and [H]e will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved."

Many are guilty as we fail to realize that everything in this present world is temporary, but the Father’s realm is eternal. In Matthew 6:19–21 we read,

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth [destroy], and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven.… For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

If your heart is on heavenly things where the true treasures are stored, then your perspective is in much better shape than a lot of other people’s perspectives.

Many people spend a lot of time thinking and believing things they were taught growing up, a lot of which are based on traditions or just things that feel good to be believed, even though they are not based on any biblical truth. We can’t take anything as being true without putting it under the microscope of the Father’s Word and confirming it. In the Father’s Word, guided by the Father’s set-apart Spirit or Ruach HaKodesh in Hebrew, we see the Father’s perspective revealed; and then we need to cast aside our perspectives and conform to His.

This is done by faith, as is everything else, concerning the Father and His realm because "without faith it is impossible to please [the Father]" (Heb. 11:6).

    Opposing Forces

There will be two obstacles you will encounter as you move into seeking the Father’s perspective in every area of life. One will be your flesh (a.k.a. your carnal nature), and the other will be the enemy, ha-satan. He will not be happy with your decision. But he has been defeated, so he will have to get over it, and our flesh we "[crucify]with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit" (Gal. 5:24–25).

In Jeremiah 29:13 we read, "You will seek [M]e and find [M]e when you seek [M]e with all your heart." Many tend to not like this and not really want to do this in the realm of perspective. They get into a position where they can see the Father’s perspective, but it clashes with theirs, and they are challenged to choose whether they will change or not.

When we can look at things through the Father’s perspective, we can see the truth about things, what they really mean, and what they really are or are not. Many, however, just stay in their comfort zones and don’t seek this deeper insight and wisdom, missing out tremendously and sometimes dangerously because of limited knowledge and understanding of things around.

In Hosea 4:6 we read, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." The Hebrew word that translates destroyed is damah, which can mean dumb or silent, perishing, are cut off or cut down, caused to cease, or destroyed. This scripture is in the context of there being no truth, mercy, or knowledge of Yahweh in the land according to verse 1. Then in verse 2 we see a list of things happening that violate the Father’s instructions, which is also known as the Torah. The rest of that scripture verse is rarely ever quoted, though; it goes on to say, "because [they] have rejected knowledge," to which the Father says, "I also will reject you [and you will not be my kahan (minister or priest)]."

In 1 Peter 2:9 we read, "But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of [H]im who has called you out of darkness into [H]is marvelous light." Now continuing in the same scripture verse in Hosea, the Father says, "Seeing you have forgotten the law of your [Elohim], I will also forget your children."

The word law is translated from the Hebrew word Torah, which means Instructions. The Father’s Instructions or the Law is an extremely important key to understanding the Father’s perspective because that is where He revealed a large portion of His perspective. Something very unfortunate today is that the devil has the majority of believers convinced that a large chunk of the Bible is no longer relevant or has been done away with. The Father says, "You have forgotten the law." Forgotten is from the Hebrew word shakach, which can also be translated as ignored or not cared about. Unfortunately, today’s Christians’ perspective of the Torah is that they don’t care about or ignore it, although in their defense they are taught by their pastors that it is no longer relevant or done away with.

For now, one more thing I will say concerning the Torah until I go deeper later is what we see in Deuteronomy 4:5–6. This is a great companion to Hosea 4:6 in which we read (and this is Moses speaking),

Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments even, as [Yahweh] my [Elohim] commanded me, that ye should do in the land whiter ye go to possess it.

Keep therefore and do them [the statutes and judgments, a.k.a. the Instructions]; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this is a great nation a wise and understanding people.

The word translated as understanding is the Hebrew word biynah, which can also be translated as knowledge. Now couple this with Hosea 4:6, and it can be said like this: "My people are destroyed because of a lack of my Instructions (aka the Torah, aka the Law)."
