    Triangle of Emotions (contos, #1)

Like many others, William considered himself smart and cunning.

For a couple of weeks, he had been pursuing a new co-worker at work, and the fact that

he was married didn't bother him at all.

In six years of marriage to his wife Laura, he had never cheated on her, but suddenly

he wanted some variety and new emotions.

And Kate, the new co-worker, immediately caught his eye a bright and stunning brunette with

    a charming smile.

Not that she captured his heart as he loved his wife and had no intention of leaving the

family, which also included their beloved daughter Caroline.

A good affair strengthens a marriage, he told himself, once again flirting with Kate.

Kate, how about having dinner on Friday at a cozy restaurant after work, he asked, looking

at the woman with a seductive gaze?

Well, I guess we can, Kate replied, with a promising tone.

She had been single for several months, and she liked William.

She knew he was married, but she had no intention of marrying him, and she wasn't ready for

    a serious relationship.

But she was open to having an affair to spice things up.

Great, the man happily replied, anticipating the upcoming date.

He came home in a cheerful mood.

Laura, my love, the guys, and I want to go to a bar after work on Friday.

    Can you let me go?

He asked his wife with a smile, giving her a kiss on the lips.

Sure, go ahead, his wife replied.

He didn't go out with his friends very often.

Just remember that we have to leave for the countryside early on Saturday.

For the whole summer, they sent their daughter to the countryside with her grandparents and

    went there themselves every weekend.

Don't worry, I'll be as fresh as a cucumber in the morning, he replied to his wife.

On Friday, sitting in a cozy restaurant located on the other side of the city, far from home,

William couldn't take his eyes off his charming companion.

So, how do you like it here?

He asked, cautiously placing his hand on hers.

It's very nice, she replied, finishing her wine.

Maybe we should move to another place?

    The woman smiled flirtatiously.

    With pleasure.

    To a hotel?

He planned to book a hotel room after the restaurant.

You can come to my place.

    I live alone, Kate offered.

William liked this offer even more.

It would save money from the family budget.

After all, a hotel room was not a cheap pleasure.

Laura eagerly awaited Kevin, her new friend's brother.

She decided not to distract her husband from his meeting with friends, especially since

    it wouldn't help anyway.

William didn't do much around the house, relying on specialized services.

Something needed to be done about the suddenly broken washing machine, and quickly.

Laura immediately called Vivian, her relatively new friend, whose brother happened to be a

handyman and lived in the neighboring yard.

Hold on, I'll call you back, Vivian said, and after the call to her brother, she called

    her friend again.

    Wait, he'll be here soon.

During the doorbell, Laura rushed to open it, letting her potential savior into the apartment.

Kevin, the man introduced himself, giving Laura a smile.

    Laura, the woman replied.

Well, let's see what happened, he said.

Is it okay if we used you?

    Of course, she agreed.

She invited him to the kitchen.

Well, I don't know what happened.

I was about to do the laundry, and it started making noise, and the water isn't filling up.

30 minutes later, the washing machine was working as if nothing had happened, and Laura

    breathed a sigh of relief.

Kevin, I'm so grateful to you.

How much do I owe you?

A thank you is more than enough, he said, smiling again.

Maybe you can have dinner with me, then?

Laura had baked trout with potatoes in the oven, and everything was already ready.

With pleasure, the man replied, sitting down at the table.

Won't your husband say anything, he asked immediately.

Her sister had warned him that Laura was married.

She knew her brother's taste, and her acquaintance happened to be exactly to his liking.

    He'll come home late.

    Besides, what's the big deal?

He's not really good with repairs anyway, and waiting for a plumber until Monday is too

long, especially when I have a pile of laundry to do.

Laura took two plates and started serving the food.

    It's delicious.

    Kevin complimented.

By the way, I'm a pretty good cook myself.

You're a handyman indeed, Laura commented with a smile.

I don't like fast food, and since I've been living alone for a long time, I've learned

    to cook.

It's not a bad skill, he said, devouring trout and pondering why it always seems that whenever

he liked a woman, she was never available.

William pounced on Kate as soon as they crossed the threshold of her home.

It had been a long time since he desired a woman as much as he desired her.

I want you, he whispered in her ear, hastily undressing her.

You're so impatient, she replied with a sultry voice, unbuttoning the man's shirt.

With a woman like you, how could it be any different?

He pushed Kate onto the bed.

William completely forgot about his wife, feeling no guilt or remorse.

Right now, he only wanted this woman, and she reciprocated his desires.

William let out a blissful sigh and lay on his back.

It's been so long for me, he said, turning his head to look at Kate, who settled beside

    him in the same pose.

For me too, the woman confessed.

She hadn't expected such passion from a married man.

She knew nothing about William's life or his wife.

Perhaps his marriage was dull, lacking passion and variety?

Shall we do it again soon, he asked, glancing at the clock.

We can do it again now, Kate murmured, leaning over him and kissing him on the lips.

    I should
