    Overcoming Spirit Of Stagnation - Johannes Tefo

    Power of testimony

    Psalms 107:2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

    The redeemed of the Lord have power in their tongue to say so. David wrote songs, hymns, and psalms based on what God did in his life. He celebrated every moment, whether something was small or big, he rejoiced because it came from the Lord. It is a mystery that even in the old covenant David experienced the glory of the Most High more than many who profess to be walking not by law but by grace.

    David was a powerful man not because he was a warrior, but because he feared the Lord. He knew that his own sword could not deliver him but the Mighty God of Jacob will. Until we make the Lord our defense in this life—we will only taste a fraction of His glory.

    Moses and Mariam testified about the mercy and goodness of God after the great deliverance of the Red Sea when God parted the river. Moses wrote songs. Throughout Israel, they sang about God’s deliverance. Testimony is the power of God that silences the enemy. Our faith is strengthened once again when we remember the enduring mercy of God and the mighty hand of the Most High.

    We usually like to quote this scripture "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death". I have studied this scripture diligently and I found out that we are saved by three things; by the blood of the lamb, by the Word of our testimony, and by not loving our lives unto death.

    Testimony of Jesus Christ is the power of our deliverance. We testify about what He has done on the cross through His death and what He has done in our lives. Through testimony there is praise. Through testimony there is thanksgiving. Let the whole world know what God has done in your life.

    Isaiah 26:12 LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.

    "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death"

    All believers are created to be overcomers (Romans 8:37; 1 John 5:4–5). As a Christian, your testimony—the story of how God stepped in and changed you through His Son, is a direct reflection of the undisputable, life-changing power of the Gospel.

    It’s one of the most effective tools in our evangelism toolbox. Before you were saved, there was an old you who was caught up in sin and didn’t know or have a relationship with the Lord. But now you have been changed by the goodness and mercy of the Lord. You can glorify God and magnify His message by telling others about how He changed you.

    There comes a time when you will have to do more than wear your favorite Christian T-shirt or a cross necklace or carry your Bible around at work or school. Sooner or later, you will have to open your mouth and speak. You must testify and tell what Jesus has done in your life.

    Proclaim the promises of God in the scriptures. Confess scriptures that relate to your situation. Appreciate every little detail of achievement. Be all about God as Jesus was all about God’s business. Testimony is the power of God and through testimony, we overcome the Devil.

    Testify about what the blood of Jesus does. What the Word of God says about you. As someone who is constantly waging spiritual warfare, I have learned that when you quote scriptures that speak of the doom of Satan, fallen angels, and demons, you are rubbing a great salt upon their wounded bodies. The Word of God is your defense in the courtroom. And here, you have the Devil as the adversary.

    When you speak forth the goodness and the mercy of God the enemy backs off. The Word of our testimony is the brutal weapon of spiritual warfare. In the spirit realm power is measured through your words. Your words build up your world.

    Proverb 18:20 A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit
