Discovering the Power of the Prayer That Unlocks the Unseen

I have a proposal for you; something that could end up revolutionizing your life in ways that you may never have thought possible. Today, let’s go on a journey together and obtain the keys that unlock the ‘unseen things’. Without the keys to understanding the will of God, we will never understand the true meaning of the bible. On this journey, you will encounter my best friend and the true lover of my heart and soul. He is closer than a mother and He knows me like the back of His hand and knows every hair on my head, and yours too. He is Jesus!

Why do I say he is a friend? Because He meets every definition of who a friend is, and much more! A FRIEND is one well known to another and regarded with loyalty and affection. How many of us can say we have a true friend who meets this definition? All I know is I have never had a friend here on earth with all these qualities.

What about love? Oh LOVE! Some dread this word and others yearn for it. In today’s world, how many of us have ever felt or received pure true love. I can tell you this much; with broken homes and shattered dreams around the world, many are crying out for love. Unfortunately satan has distorted the concept of ‘love’ with such things as rape, molestation, child abuse, perversion, sodomy, spousal abuse, idolatry, adultery, fornication and other sinful and damaging behaviors, so much so that many people doubt that ‘love’ exists.

For years, I tried to understand things about God through my intellect, which many of us do from time to time. I have known about Jesus my whole life, but I never had a true understanding of His love until 15 years ago. Yes, it took that long. A few years ago, I was praying one day when I felt the Lord leading me to write this book. I thought; ‘if only I had this level of knowledge and understanding long ago, I am sure my life would have had a lot less hurts and disappointments’. However, I have no regrets because I know everything happens for a reason, which is why I am able to write this book today.

I pray that the downfalls I have experienced, that have now turned into revelation by the grace of God, may become your blessing, starting today, in Jesus name!

Perhaps you may know Jesus as your Lord and Savior already, but if you have no idea who He is or how He can be your best friend, please keep reading because I am going to show you scriptures that will help you make a decision to make Him your best friend too.

John 3:3

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God

Romans 10:11-13

For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved

The Bible says that one must be ‘born again’. What does being ‘born again’ mean? Well, it means to make a choice to die to a sinful life style. It is to make a clear choice and to put off the ‘old man’ and ‘old way’ of thinking.

Romans 8: 9-10

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

If one’s life is controlled by the sin nature, then one is considered ‘dead in sin’. Once you repent and make Jesus Lord over your heart, mind, body and soul, your life will change. Having Jesus live in you and you in Him brings peace and joy. Maybe you suffer from depression, sickness or addictions of any kind; you need to know that there is freedom for the people who trust in Jesus. Maybe you already have Jesus in your life but realize that there are still things missing in your life; you need to make a choice to follow the Word of God for your life. However, before you make that choice, I want to help you understand the implications of the choice you are making. There is a prayer at the end of this chapter, which I urge you to pray sincerely; it will change your life.

For most, this is not just a prayer, it is a covenant you are making with Jesus. The meaning of the word ‘Covenant’ is: to have a contract, to enter into agreement, to become affected by. So when I make this covenant, it is going to affect me. Let’s look at this a bit closer.
