    Preface

Purpose means a defined role: something or what needs to be done by a specific person, material, or products. The designation of an individual person or elements to a defined role is the way that the order of life is accredited and satisfied. Because life is a living experience, the path of life is often concealed to hide both purpose and destiny. The interlocking of purpose and destiny shows the importance of life. Life is the most precious of all the gifts of God because life was bringing humanity to the likeness of God. God is the Life but giving the created works of God life was bestowing upon them unusual blessing of God.

Because of the animation of life to give people autonomy in the ways they live their lives, very often people are attracted to many things to do in life without realizing that they are giving the gift of life for a spiritual and physical purposes. People choose their own destinations without seeking for the counsel and judgment of God, and in some cases, they may expose their lives to unexpected problems. Destination is an integral part of life because purpose has its place in a defined place, base, or location.

Therefore, being carefully positioned both spiritually and physically is extremely important in life. The uniformity or unification of the spirit and physical realms is what makes it possible to achieve spiritual order of life in the present life. If purpose is the decision of the Life-Giver, we must understand that purpose is a hidden secret and where the purpose must be carried out. This is how purpose and destiny meet at the same intersection to begin their inseparable journey.

Finding your purpose and destiny in life requires deep spiritual search or inquiry, so people often embark upon their ambitions without knowing that they are expected to do something totally different from what they chose to do in this life. There is no judgment of our lives, words, and works where the purpose and destiny of life is fulfilled without other attachments or addendum. Missing the connection is what subjects all that we exemplify and represent to scrutiny, reproof, and correction.

Perfection is not only a matter of being without sin: it also involves embracing the spiritual and physical paths of life according to all orders! We must carefully look from wherever we are, whether spiritual or physical to know when to disconnect or reconnect with purpose and destiny. Relocation is part of life, however, many relocation are dislocations because they further separate us from the emerging roadmap that is supposed to guide us into the secret purpose and destiny for our lives.

Purpose and Destiny will offer you hidden riches of the mysteries of the order of life to help you see from divine perspective. You will venture into the secret realms of God to uncover a wealth of revelation that will propel your life into your purpose and destiny. God is calling you to experience Him and the fullness of life. I come that they might have life, and have it more abundantly (John 10:10), shows that there is more to life than this present life. We are obligated to know why we are in this life even when we think that we have a great idea about how we got here. Life itself must challenge our curiosity to search deeply within ourselves and beyond, and to cry out for guidance.

My prayer is that as you go further into the depth of the revelation in this spiritual material, that the LORD God who is the Author of Life will open His hand to you and bring you into His realms. May you find all the hidden mysteries of life to lead others into their purposes and destinies in this present age of great darkness.

    In His Love,

    Apostle (Dr.) John King Hill

    Chapter One

    CARNALITY AND SPIRITUALITY

Carnality is rejecting the life of the Spirit and embracing the world. We live in the world, so the world is part of our home even though we are supposed not to be of the world or friend of the world.  When a Church does not follow the leadership of the Holy Spirit, she can easily tilt toward the world because the flesh must find her home in the world. The world is the center of gravity for the non-spiritually rooted and established in God. Following the leadership of the Holy Spirit takes the Spirit getting hold of our lives. The world cannot give us the spiritual life we need to be called real Christians, so what we will fall back to is perhaps another world religion. The world wants inclusiveness and tolerance, but the Spirit demands separation, sanctification, consecration, and self-sacrifice. Inclusiveness and tolerance will merge the Church with other world religions, depreciating the true worth of the spiritual Church of Jesus Christ that is redeemed and washed by the blood of the Lamb, sanctified by the Word of God, consecrated with the holy anointing oil of the presence of the Holy Spirit, and glorified by the LORD God after His likeness.

Carnality will always look like the world because carnality is part of the world as the world is part of carnality. These two can easily enter into friendship and alliance.

Carnality and the world will always war with the Spirit because they are common enemies of God. While we are busy fighting the devils, there are much more powerful enemies that we carelessly or unconsciously underestimate their overwhelming combined efforts to destroy the hope of true Christian experiences in Christ.

Ishmael, the bond child from the bond woman, will always antagonize and persecute the spiritual child of the promise. One of the greatest end-times battles is the internal battle between Ishmael and Isaac -- as it is in the physical so also in the Spirit. The carnal Christian will not agree with the spiritual Christian because of the incompatibility of the spirit and flesh. The old nature cannot agree with the new nature, just as the old wine skin cannot mix with the new wine skin. Likewise, the Spirit cannot mix with the flesh!

The carnal and worldly Church systems will focus on all the physical attractions: the numbers of followers, influences, accomplishments, religious successes, and sizes of church buildings or numbers of locations. This is going from grace to work, and it is the reason we become boastful, arrogant, and prideful for our religious and other accomplishments.

Carnality will see physical material prosperity, but the spiritual Church will see greater value in spiritual advancement, which is a true spiritual appreciation.

Carnality will embrace acceptance and tolerance as replacements for the real love of God and the power of God. This is a compromise and hypocrisy because it’s adopting a forbidden standard and structure of life that alters our rights to the Will of God, which is the key to our spiritual inheritance. True love is not the product of compromise, acceptance, and tolerance but a real-life expression of God, which will not conflict with His standard of life.

Another hallmark of the carnal and worldly Church is building upon the foundation of the letters of the Word without the Spirit, which is the life of the Word. The word that I speak to you is Spirit and Life because the Spirit of God is the Spirit of Life (See Romans 8:2). Living the reality of the Word is not a matter of studying and practicing the Word but opening our lives to the Spirit to bring a spiritual change into our lives. This is Christianity, which is spiritual and totally separate from other world religions. The letter of the Word can be translated, interpreted, and amended to suit any view, theology, or philosophy. However, we can only reject the Holy Spirit or follow His leadership. In that case, we must be willing to open our lives to His outpouring, not just to dwell in us but to fill and come upon us. The danger of trying to practice Christianity is that the change-effect that conforms our lives to the life of Christ and the nature of God cannot really take root; therefore, the residues of the old, compromised areas of our lives will continue to emanate. This is because the Spirit demands a real change in every area of our lives.

However, very often our struggles show in our efforts to protect and defend against our carnality and worldliness using both the Scriptures and outright counterattacks against those speaking about our lives. We fight to make a point that they are not better than we are or that we are all the same and share common similarity. This is carnality! We are not carefully taking people's observations seriously or perceiving their recommendations as corrections and warnings. We are not seeing common sense and logic in the absence of true spiritual reality.

Our carnality and worldliness can show no matter how much we try to conceal the traces. Life is not only expressive but also impressive, so the imprints are always legible and visible. By their fruits ye shall know them. I feel sorry for this spiritually blinded generation!

Our love for God and humanity must bring us to a place of uncompromising truth because we cannot compromise the standard of Christ and God in other to appeal to and appease people. Lack of respect is not the same as lack of reverence. Lack of reverence is opposition to true spiritual order of worship rather than a choice to disrespect a person. A standard or model of life is not a choice but a requirement or mandate.

The things we are commanded to do or not to do are not negotiable even when we care so much for people and value their opinions or inputs greatly. Although God rewards good works, our disobedience and conflicts of interest are not part of loyalty and faithfulness but rebellion.

The Holy Spirit as the Spirit of life is the one that will bring our lives to conform with the standard of Christ and God. He cannot change His life for us, but we (as the people of God) must open our lives to receive Him and allow Him to change our lives. The carnal and worldly Church is doing everything to stay away from the life of Christ while professing to be Christians or Christ-like. Nevertheless, our lifestyles will always expose our internal conflicts.

The whole truth is that we cannot have it all: the flesh, the world, the demonic, and God at the same time. There is a separation and distinction to show our growth and maturity. Using our carnality and worldliness to show our success exposes our failures and shames.

If we are not gays or lesbians but we look like gays and lesbians, there must be a real question as to why our lives are reflecting a different images or appearances from that of Christ and God by His Holy Spirit. The messages of inclusiveness, acceptance, and tolerance are often used to cover up our shortcomings or proclivities instead of asking Christ to change our lives.

The big question is why are we fighting to protect our carnality and worldliness? The clear answer is we are trying hard to avoid the spiritual separation, rejection, persecution, and tribulation, and of course, protect our personal agendas, interests, and benefits. In essence, we are not looking to obey God more than people but to obey people rather than God.

We can easily conclude that God looks at the heart, but a true change in the heart will also affect our outward appearances and behaviors. Salvation is for the whole person, not just the heart or how can people see the change in our life. God looks into the heart, but people look at the outward appearances; therefore, there is a correlation between the inward and the outward because we are one whole person. Here is a question for us, what part of the Apostles were Christ-like according to Acts 11:25-26? Was it only their hearts and not their physical beings? How did people observe that they were like Christ without a real change in their physical behaviors and appearances? If the LORD God made the first man in His image after His likeness, do we believe that spiritual order of life has failed? Does the word Christian relate only to the title, or does it include the life of the believer as a whole?

Always, the letter of the Word is equal to the law and works, which leads us back to the flesh and the world and opens our lives to judgment instead of grace and faithfulness unto God.

Our messages of prosperity today have become messages of exploitation to profit and gain materially rather than lose everything to gain Christ and the reward of Christ. Our messages of grace today have become the messages of sin, not of righteousness and holiness, which is in the life of the Spirit. We have a modified gospel that is human-made to benefit those who carry the banners and promote their agendas rather than magnify Christ — His suffering and glorification.

There is always a difference between my Church and the Church of Jesus Christ, so we must not be ignorant of satan's devices nor ignore the fleshly and worldly vices.

Here are some characteristics of the carnal Church:

    1.     A carnal Church is a friend of the world.

    2.     A carnal Church is subject to the law of sin and death and therefore, vulnerable to satanic accusation, blackmail, ransom, prosecution, and rulership or dominion.

    3.     A carnal Church is open to self-sabotage, betrayal of Christ and the Kingdom — the persecution of the bride of Christ or the true spiritual Church like Saul.

    4.     A carnal Church is an enemy of the Cross of Jesus Christ — His death, burial, resurrection and ascension.

    5.     A carnal Church is a prostitute that shares unholy wedlock — inordinate affectionate relationship with the flesh and the world and empower the destroyed works of satan on the cross of Calvary.

We must come to understand that compromise is a cooperation and collaboration no matter how much we state our views in opposition. A Christian life is not measured by our words alone but also our lives and our works through the Holy Spirit.

    Salvation and Works

There are those who will move in the glory before the appearing of the LORD and the catching up of the Saints in the end-times. The real spiritual value of the sacrificial blood of the Lamb of God is applied or engaged by the life and power of the Spirit. The Lamb has been slain, and the blood of the Lamb has been shed to wash away the sins of the people, but without the life and power of the Spirit, the sacrifice has no applicable meaning or real spiritual and physical value. The life of Christ was given so that we might receive His life by the Spirit. Life is in the blood, so the appropriation of the power of the blood would mean opening our lives to the life of the Spirit, and we cannot have the life of the Spirit without the power of the Spirit. We can get results by trusting the Word of God by faith, but to receive the fullness, we need to involve or engage the Spirit of the LORD God. From the outer court where the Lamb was crucified on the cross, we receive pardon or forgiveness of our sins by the shedding of the blood and our sins are cleansed or washed away. Christ is the Word made Flesh -- the Son of man and the Son of God glorified in the Father; therefore, the glorified Christ is the LORD God Almighty and All-powerful (See Matthew 28:18; Philippians 2:5-11; Revelation 1:8).

We are made righteous unto God, and we receive the Spirit of Adoption and the Spirit of Life (See Romans 8:2; Galatians 4:6). There is no other sacrifice for sin. However, the processes of sanctification — the washing of the water by the Word — or learning the Word to apply the Word in our daily lives and the consecration processes to receive the outpouring of the Spirit (anointed by God) are both necessary to maintain a daily lifestyle of holiness unto the LORD. The Ark of the Covenant was a reference tool that presented the High Priest and the assembly of the people with a partial experience of interacting with the manifested presence of God. The Law (the Word), the Rod of the Priest (the authority), and the Ark of the Covenant, which represented the manifested presence of God and evidence of the availability of the power of the Spirit (to save, heal and deliver) were united together in accord with the people to give them partial spiritual experiences with God.

We must pay careful attention to observe that there was no need to make three different Arks of the Covenant. We see Jesus Christ, who represented the Ark of the Covenant, manifested in the human form, and the Spirit of the LORD God coming upon Him and the voice of the Father authenticating the phenomenal event (See Luke 3:21-22). This is going from the shadow of things to come or symbolic rituals to the real experiences. The same way the symbolic patterns were used to teach and educate the priests and the people, the spiritual experiences bring the reality in our lives. Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit were both real persons and likewise, the voice of the Father.

The real spiritual transition experience begins with the Passover, which is why the blood sacrifice of the Lamb dealt with our sinful conditions, but the Spirit must lead us into full spiritual experiences with the LORD God. From the outer court to the holy place and Holy of Hollies marked the separations of different stages of events; nevertheless, the Holy of Hollies marked the stage of greater escalation or a turning point, and it is why the anointing is always greater at this threshold of the glory. Because there is no need to offer another blood sacrifice for sins except to apply the blood by engaging the life and power of the Spirit, we are baptized with the Holy Spirit and with fire (See Matthew 3:11).

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is introducing us to the Holy Spirit so we will welcome and receive Him into our lives to experience His manifest presence. The baptism of fire is the kindling of His passion to burn like fire in our hearts so we will enthusiastically seek after the LORD by allowing the Holy Spirit to get rid of all the impurities in our lives. The sanctification and consecration processes are important change factors because it's bringing the Word and the Spirit together to realize the effectual working of the power of the Word by the Spirit (See Isaiah 4:4; Jeremiah 23:29). The Passover experience is an escalated and expedited event because of the sudden shift into the realms of God, which means entering into the fullness of the spiritual realms of glory. The Passover is activation of the fullness of judgment after the blood sacrifice has been implemented and the power of the blood has been engaged or appropriated, but the enemy keeps pursuing and laying additional claims or bent on attacking to destroy the people of God (See Exodus Chapter 14). Passover is passing from death unto life by the execution of the order of God's judgment, which is why entering the glory takes the baptism of death. Because God is the Life, there is no other life except to sacrificially lose your life to enter the fullness of His life.

In His life is the power of creation (or transformation) and the power of resurrection, which are overcoming the power of death and grave! The same applies to when we open our lives to the outpouring: indwelling, infilling, and outward overflow of the Spirit. The Spirit as the Spirit of life pours out His life
