    Preface

Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may prosper in all that ye do (Deuteronomy 29:9).

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper (Psalms 1:1-3).

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth (3 John 2).

It was a warm afternoon; I was riding in the car. I’d been going through numerous challenges so much so that I started to ponder if it was God. I was left with the scrambling thought of how could the LORD God allow me to go through such pain and suffering. Seemingly out of nowhere I began to talk about breaking the cycle of poverty, and all the scriptures broke open. I began to see God’s prosperity plan for his children, and soon I found myself in prayer warfare. The more I prayed, the more I sensed a release until I was swept into deep worship. I almost couldn’t see the highway because of the glory of God! What started out as a negative conversation turned into a celebration of peace and joy, and there was my freedom. This book has been written under intense power of God. I want you to take a deep breath, find a comfortable place, and begin to read from page to page prayerfully and expect the power of God to touch your life, until the wheel of your life is stirred to overwhelming prosperity by breaking the powers that have cursed your life from raining blessing of wealth and riches through Christ. This is your school of wealth and riches and as you read this book, I don’t want tears to come down your eyes until it comes first from your heart.

Your heart can reach God quicker than your eyes, and that is the purpose of this book: to move your heart to God and to draw tears of praise, worship and sacrifice of re-dedication and commitment to God. To serve Him until His blessing takes the place of your tears.

His joy takes the place of your sorrow and sadness. His peace takes the place of your worries. His healing and deliverance takes the place of your sickness and disease, aches and pain. His comfort takes the place of your dissatisfaction and discontentment. His power takes the place of your weakness, and His life takes over your life until you begin to move again by His grace; and experience His great abundance losing the grip and shackles of poverty and lack, and free from bondage of sin, death and curse. There is nothing holding you back from God’s prosperity plan for your life today. This is your time.

May the medication prescribed in this book take effect (cure) upon your ailment. I command the power of God to move upon you from head to toe -- spirit, soul and body, and be made whole in the presence of the LORD God. Amen.

    In His Love,

    APOSTLE (DR.) JOHN KING HILL.

    Chapter One

THE POOR IN THE OLD AND NEW TESTAMENTS

The kingdom of God never excludes the poor from dignified society. It has always encouraged unity and furthermore, unification to create a balance by helping raise the poor from the pit of poverty and lack. The poor were included and made part of the society in the Old Testament times regardless of title or personality. As in the Old Testament times so also in the New, the pattern or similarity for the command to care for and help the poor remained the same. Today, society targets the poor and unfortunate – individuals as well as organizations, and nations or kingdoms to deprive and to take away the little they don’t have, thereby (oppressing) keeping them in bondage instead of saving and healing them. The prayers of many people, organizations, nations or kingdoms are hindered because of this cause, so also the prayers of many Churches or people of God. Begging, homelessness and poverty are common (today) in the New Testament society.

There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: and there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, and desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores (Luke 16:19-21).

And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple (Acts 3:2).

God demands for action instead of prayer and fasting for the poor. God demands for attention and caring not rejection of the poor. God demands for helping the poor not robbing and taking advantage of their vulnerability. God demands attending to their needs not cursing or abandoning them. Among the able bodies in the body of Christ, it is forbidden to live a lifestyle of begging.

They were commanded to work with their hands to help others. This was as a Christian obligation:

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth (Ephesians 4:28).

And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; that ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing (1 Thessalonians 4:11-12).

The operation system of the kingdom of God has always maintained the reservation of special rooms for the less privileged. The purpose is to help lift and bring the poor to the place of a new beginning or fresh start by giving to them. It is a way to encourage them to come out of poverty and lack and begin to prosper in life.

The poor were especially important in the Mosaic Law: they had the privileged right to glean the fields:

And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest. And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger: I am the LORD your God (Leviticus 19:9-10).

When thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hands. When thou beatest thine olive tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow. When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterward: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow (Deuteronomy 24:19-21)

The poor were to have their share of the produce of the fields and the vineyards:

But the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thy oliveyard (Exodus 23:11).

In the year of jubilee they recovered their property:

If thy brother be waxen poor, and hath sold away some of his possession, and if any of his kin come to redeem it, then shall he redeem that which his brother sold. And if the man have none to redeem it, and himself be able to redeem it; then let him count the years of the sale thereof, and restore the overplus unto the man to whom he sold it; that he may return unto his possession. But if he be not able to restore it to him, then that which is sold shall remain in the hand of him that hath bought it until the year of jubilee: and in the jubilee it shall go out, and he shall return unto his possession. And if a man sell a dwelling house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; within a full year may he redeem it. And if it be not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be established for ever to him that bought it throughout his generations: it shall not go out in the jubilee (Leviticus 25:25-30).

Interest (usury) was forbidden, and the pledged raiment was to be returned before sun down:

And if the man be poor, thou shalt not sleep with his pledge: In any case thou shalt deliver him the pledge again when the sun goeth down, that he may sleep in his own raiment, and bless thee: and it shall be righteousness unto thee before the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not oppress an hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy strangers that are in thy land within thy gates: At his day thou shalt give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it: lest he cry against thee unto the LORD, and it be sin unto thee (Deuteronomy 24:12-15).

The rich were to give generously to the poor:

If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother: but thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth. Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the LORD against thee, and it be sin unto thee. Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto. For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land (Deuteronomy 15:7-11).

Certain portions from the tithes were assigned to the poor:

At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates: and the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest (Deuteronomy 14:28-29).

When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled; then thou shalt say before the LORD thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them (Deuteronomy 26:12-13).

The poor shared in the feasts:

And thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to place his name there. And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt: and thou shalt observe and do these statutes. Thou shalt observe the feast of tabernacles seven days, after that thou hast gathered in thy corn and thy wine: And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite, the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates (Deuteronomy 16:11-14).

Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10).

Wages were to be paid at the close of each day:

Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning (Leviticus 19:13).

The Beatitude reads: And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh (Luke 6:20-21).

The operation system of the kingdom of God was to bless by making provision for those who are poor, lacking, hungry, thirsty, mourning, widowed, imprisoned, comfortless, sick and diseased, and most of all the unsaved. Anyone who joins the LORD God in doing so will reap great (harvest) abundance in due season and time. May your heart embrace the will of God today. May your life be delivered from selfishness – self-ambition and self-interests, and may the power of the LORD God Almighty and All-powerful rule supreme over your life.

    Self-Sacrifice

The mark that poverty places upon people often draws rejection, and causes them to be despised or undermined. This is the daily feeling of the poor. In the reduced (lowered) position of Jesus Christ as a man, He was faced with these feelings, and had to battle them by the power of God. As a man Jesus would have to deal with the fullness of the human attributes! He would know and understand what it feels like to be a human by living the human life. Always, life is not academic but lived in the fullness, which is why the created works are expression of God. You cannot be touched by what others feel unless you experience what they go through.

The Bible declares: he is touched by the feelings of our infirmities (Hebrews 4:15).

A superficial Ministry and Ministration will lack proper protocol to handling life’s old wounds. They will lack real remedy (solution) for curing life’s terminal conditions. A doctor that cannot diagnose and prescribe cure has no business practicing medicine. The law of example is what defines true leadership. We become living signs posted for everyone to see and read.

Jesus said: I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6).

We become our Ministry and messages through the life and enabling power of God to demonstrate the Kingdom reality. When a cure is discovered, no one wants to be a guinea pig even when millions are suffering from the disease. God always drinks His own medicine – He sent His Son. He took our place! His word is a medicine. His word will not return unto Him void without accomplishing the purpose. The anointing gives a person the preserving life of God you can feel His passion and compassion and enable you with His ability to challenge the elements that hurt people while making you immune to their powers.

The Bible declares nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19b).

When the sons of the prophet screamed: There is death in the pot Elisha uttered a word of blessing, and said, eat (2 Kings 4:38-41).

When the plagues came upon Egypt, Moses and the children of Israel remained standing (Exodus 11:7). When the venomous snake poured its deadly poison into apostle Paul, the spectators waited and watched to see him fall dead but he lived (Acts 28:1-6). These are the same as believers having power over all the powers of the enemy, whether devils or other elements of God’s creations. The manifestation of the anointing or revelation of God’s glory is to destroy, remove and end all that causes pain and suffering. The life of Jesus Christ was His Ministry and message. He was there to speak and to do. A representative is one who stands for another. The immunity of a representative is the authority and power of the agency he or she represents.

    The Suffering of Christ

Who hath believed our report? And to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is
