INTRODUCTION

Clutch the opportunity to consider the endeavours of people, and you will be stunned at your revelation. Everyone is aspiring for something. The desire to become rich has hit an all-time high. Strip hearts for the intents of the early birds, and I guarantee that a greater percentage of people have stepped out of their comforts to strike the riches of life. Everyone wants to make progress; everyone wants to be rich. Nobody wants to be poor because lack is the dread of all people. In effect, poverty commands the most animosity among humanity.

For some people, their craving for wealth has met with tangible success. For others, the journey remains promising. However, as the ambitions escalate, the ways and methods adopted by wealth seekers assume a complicated pattern of twists and turns. In the times in which we are now living, the world is dominated by multiple ways to make wealth, be they conventional and unconventional, familiar or unfamiliar, secret or open, holy or unholy.

Values are fast losing ground. Greed keeps poaching more grounds, and integrity is threatened with extinction. Not many people care a jot about how they get what they get, as long as they get it. False balance has taken over our marketplaces; sharp practices have invaded our offices. The cities are crawling with laziness by day and wickedness by night.

People are rapidly substituting God’s perfect ways with their own imperfect ways. The world is therefore littered with people who do what they should not do and get what they should not get; there is also a multitude of people who do what they ought to do but get what they ought not to get. Sadly, a significant proportion of those in the wrong are Christian people.

I bear the burden of the Lord to return God’s people to God’s holy ways. God’s earth contains God’s wealth; God’s wealth is obtained by God’s ways; God’s ways are holy ways.

Holy Ways to Wealth is one of a series of three books based on divine insight, arising from the Third Letter of John:

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. (3 John 2, KJV)

The chapters of this book are referred to as Wealth Ways. Each Wealth Way brings to light some uncommon principles of prosperity. There are practical exercises at the end of every chapter; your connection to these principles is your perpetual access to wealth.

I write this book for all people born with or without the privileges of fortune. The holy standards written in this book would be of colossal benefits to that man, to that woman, who has been going it the right way all along but has now come under immense socio-economic pressure to pervert the ways of righteousness. The secrets in this book will deliver that fellow whose living circumstances have got him or her thinking and practically seeking alternatives to holy ways.

I write to those individuals who are neck-deep in institutionalised corruptions, to those fellows who hold onto the false comfort claim that ‘Everybody is doing it’. A coterie of people out there bears in their hearts the notion that those who ratify Christianity and its holy canons are, by their decision, settling down for a lifetime of poverty. It is to this group I write.

Finally, you may have been doing ‘all the right things’ but have continued to get the wrong outcomes, and perhaps you are just about to conclude that riches could be meant for everyone else but certainly not for you. Holy Ways to Wealth will bring your hopes back to life.

If they listen and obey God, then they will be blessed with prosperity throughout their lives. All their years will be pleasant.

So obey the commands of the Lord your God by walking in his ways and fearing him. For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land of flowing streams and pools of water, with springs that gush forth in the valleys and hills. It is a land of wheat and barley; of grapevines, fig trees, pomegranates, olives, and honey. It is a land where food is plentiful and nothing is lacking. It is a land where iron is as common as stone, and copper is abundant in the hills.

WEALTH WAY 1:

Be Willing, Listen, and Obey God

The journey to wealth begins with instructions. Every sector of the human economy works with instructions – lawyers work with legal instructions; drivers work with road safety standards; pilots work with aeronautical guidelines. We cannot mention willingness, attentiveness, or listening and obedience without mentioning instructions. The instruction you are willing to receive is the instruction you are willing to obey. The instruction you are willing to obey will determine the future you are willing to have.

Jesus said to Simon, ‘Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a draught.’ The Bible records:

And when they had this done, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes and their net brake. (Luke 5:6, KJV)

The secret of increase is hidden in obedience. Bring me the instructions you have received, and I will show you the future you are about to receive. Abraham obeyed the instructions of the Lord, and the Lord made him rich in all things. I have learned to obey divine instructions. I write in obedience to God’s instructions – this book is in your hands because I obeyed the instructions of the Lord to put it together. This book is God’s manual for wealth. God is eager to send great wealth to his people, and for this reason He sends these instructions.

When God wants to bless someone, He sends them an instruction. God sends instructions through various media, visions, dreams, meditations, prophecies, the Word, and more. Once I sought for employment, and God sent me words in a vision, guiding me to the job that agreed with His will for me. It was indeed a job from the Lord. Stand by for divine instructions to break through in business. You need divine instructions to choose the career of your destiny. You need divine instructions to make the right decisions towards increase.

Note that instructions can come through your mother, your father, your siblings, your family, your brethren or pastor in church, your neighbour, or your work colleagues. Never despise any of these people. Jacob obeyed his mother, and the covenant blessing of abundance bypassed his brother into his own life. Solomon adhered to the instructions of his father, and the throne of Israel became his covenant inheritance. In the words of God’s proverbs, Solomon writes:

My Son, pay attention to my wisdom, listen carefully to my wise counsel. (Prov. 5:1, NLT)

Follow my advice, my son; always treasure my commands. Obey them and live! Guard my teachings as your most precious possession. Tie them on your fingers as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. (Prov. 7:1–3, NLT)

My children, listen to me. Listen to your father’s instruction. Pay attention and grow wise, for I am giving you good guidance. Don’t turn away from my teaching. For I, too, was once my father’s son, tenderly loved by my mother as an only child. My father told me, ‘Take my words to heart. Follow my instructions, and you will live. Learn to be wise and develop good
