Prelude
I am thrilled to share my story with you in this book. As someone who has struggled with depression, sexual abuse, and verbal abuse, I know firsthand how hard it can be to find the strength to keep going. However, I also know there’s always a way forward—and for me, the way forward is working out. You’re going to read about my personal fitness journey and the ways in which I use exercise to improve my physical health and cope with the emotional and mental challenges life occasionally throws at me. I discuss the different types of workout routines that have worked for me at different times in my life, along with post-workout recipes and meal plans that help me to stay on track. More than that, I hope to inspire you to find your path to wellness and strength.
Writing this book has been a deeply personal, emotional experience and a reminder of how far I've come. By sharing my story, I hope to help you discover your resilience to push through rough times.
