Something felt off about her behavior, but I was too captivated to notice. It was a typical Saturday night at one of the downtown bars, and I was a regular. Familiar faces surrounded me, but there she was, sitting alone at a table, scanning the room with a predatory glint in her eye.

I perched on a barstool, sneaking glances at her from the corner of my eye. Her luscious mane of curly black hair framed her stunning face, exuding strength that didn't dim her beauty. Her eyes, as dark as her locks, smoldered with a hint of restrained sensuality—well, at least in my vivid imagination. Her full lips formed a natural pout, adding to her undeniable sex appeal. I couldn't believe I hadn't crossed paths with her until now. My gaze wandered down her low-cut dress, appreciating her ample curves as she fearlessly showcased them. I could lose myself in there, I mused. Just as I glanced up at her face, she met my gaze with an amused expression. Embarrassment flushed through me, and I quickly looked away.

Turning my attention back to my drink, a voice in my head whispered, You blew it with her. But then, out of nowhere, she slipped onto the stool next to me. Hi, my name's Sarah. What's yours? she purred, oozing seduction.

Dan Kelley, I replied, caught off guard. Haven't seen you around here before.

She flashed a smile. I've just moved into the area.

Engaging in idle chitchat, I noticed she showed an unexpectedly strong interest in what I had to say. I've never been considered the reserved type, but being pursued like this was uncharted territory for me.

Her arm curled around my shoulders, and I felt the pressure of one of her ample breasts against my side. I hope you don't mind, Dan. But I'd really like to get to know you a lot better. I should have exercised more caution, knowing this could easily be a prank orchestrated by my friends.

As she gracefully rose from her seat and made her way out of the bar, I obediently followed. Outside, the night air was cool and crisp, and the full moon cast a pale glow over the street. Arm in arm, we strolled towards my car, and I glanced up at the moon. If you look just right, you can see a face in it—my dad used to call it the Man in the Moon when I was a kid. In my slightly inebriated state, it was as if the Man in the Moon smiled in approval of my good fortune in catching such a remarkable catch.

In retrospect, it seemed like he found amusement in my expense.

My car sat tucked away in a quiet corner
