Saving Face, Saving Grace
Remember the old adage : You Are What You Eat? It’s true! When eating the right kinds of foods in moderation, it can go a long way in helping your body to keep a natural balance and your skin in prime and peak shape. A balanced and nutritious diet for your skin should include: raw foods, plenty of yellow and orange vegetables (which contain beta carotene - a precursor to vitamin A). Foods that are high in sulfur such as garlic, onions, asparagus and eggs are great for the skin as well. Include fresh fruits, seeds, grains and nuts.
The smooth, flawless skin that we are born with as babies can begin to sag and may droop
as we advance in age and get older. This is due in part to factors that may often need to be eliminated or curtailed. These factors might include (but not limited to): over-exposure to sunlight, cigarette smoke and general air pollution. However, on the contrary, time is not something that we can control. It is a variable that affects us all.
Sometimes it may seem that your skin is impossible to manage and maintain. The good news is that there are several viable ways to treat common skin problems. There are basically four types of skin:
