TO MY LORD AND SAVIOR
I want to take this moment to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Without His unfailing love, I would not be alive to speak about my experiences or write this book.
I write this with a humble and grateful heart and testify to His love without shame. I didn’t deserve a second chance BUT JESUS thought differently. Throughout my walk with Christ, I realized that I did not fully understand what it meant to walk in my identity in Christ. I carried a baggage full of issues: sins, struggles, frustrations, fits of anger, lust, YOU NAME IT!! I was a young minister heavily involved in ministry, and I continued to work for the Lord
but never truly allowed God to work through me thoroughly. Instead of depending on God and giving Him my mess, I suppressed it and chose to deal with situations with my strength. My convictions of prayer and fasting began to get cluttered with too much busyness. I continued to be active in ministry and the excitement of ministry became an altered condition that numbed the rooted issues within me. My gift, charisma, and my love for God and people caused multitudes to draw near and they were getting delivered, healed, and saved by the power of God. Indeed, God was moving, but to what avail? As the ministry flourished my relationship with God, and my identity in Him was swiftly fading. I needed deliverance and healing, and God wanted to deal with me, but ministry was the priority. I concealed my issues and failed to deal with them or confide in someone. I kept on pushing my issues to the side while I helped others find Jesus, yet I lost touch with Jesus. I cared more about The ministry
and the people
than my soul and relationship with God. I went too deep in and suddenly, THE FALL FOLLOWED!!
I Was Done!!! But Then Jesus Stepped In!!
God allowed everything around me to fall apart. God allowed me to be alone and, in my solitude, and my darkest moments, I saw things manifested in me that I had no clue was dwelling in me. I was completely lost, and broken, a pastor and preacher of salvation but needed saving and delivering myself. A broken marriage, and ministry, I turned my back on everyone and God. I was paralyzed by the spirit of condemnation. BUT GOD in His mercy and compassion fought to redeem my life from destruction. I rejected His love and mercy because I felt unworthy to be embraced. The I FAILED!!
I MESSED UP!
I, I, I
was my new preaching. Yet, GOD began to uproot all those internal strongholds that I carried for years. Jesus!!! I was a mess and God needed to expose the infections that were spreading and killing me. He allowed everything to stop so that I can find a true deliverance and discover my TRUE IDENTITY IN CHRIST. That’s how much He loves me, and I can say confidently I have been EMBRACED BY GRACE!
TO MY WIFE IVETTE B RODRIGUEZ
I thank God for allowing me to meet you. I thank you for being there for me during my process of restoration. You are a true representation of a praying woman. Your prayers, love, and support are highly appreciated. God showed me His love and grace through you, and it helped me push through the rubble. Since day one you have shown me your willingness to believe God for the impossible. God saw fit to bring you into my life because you would be the Ezer
that would help me fulfill my purpose and legacy. I LOVE YOU, WIFE!!

Identity is the most important thing in our everyday life. As a teenager, my mother used to say, Do not forget your ID!
Always carry your ID just in case!
She would say this every day before I left the house. As annoying as it was, I would try to make sure I had it, but there were days that I just didn’t care to try because my ID wasn’t my priority; friends, fun, and foolishness were more important than carrying my identity. This was my attitude until I went to an interview, or when police officers would stop me, and when I wanted to go inside of a building they would ask Can I see you’re ID?
I must admit that many times I was caught without my ID, and it gave me problems. Your ID identifies you and carries all your personal information, without it you and I are no one. To enter a place, you need to identify yourself or you are forbidden to access places, or even get a good job.
Your identity in Christ is important, without it, you are no one. We should never make, people, entertainment, or religious customs a priority over our Identity in Christ. This will only cause us to be limited in our walk with Christ and it would cause us to be restricted from walking in our full potential.
