Preface
It was a close call to fatality from prescribed drugs for chronic sinusitis during the mid-1990s that changed my perspective and nutritional journey. The prescribed medication sent me gasping for breath. After hearing about my ordeal, a co-worker suggested supplements for the disorder. Seminars I subsequently attended explained how nutrition healed some ailments. Among the many topics presented was the cause and treatment of sinusitis. Implementing my newfound knowledge with diet adjustments worked beautifully. Within a year, I was free of the infection, thus embarking on research to learn more about nutrition, how it works, and what foods help alleviate the onset of different diseases.
During that period of research, and when the consumption of saturated fats was ill-advised, I discovered from experience that animal fat was essential for beneficial body fluid production. To be specific, I used beef fat. Research concurred with my findings and revealed all the benefits of fats and their dietary essentialities. Thus my research continued, which involved the nutrients and other plant chemicals that heal, minimize, and prevent various diseases.
By 2009 I started assisting students online that were participating in nutrition courses. My first book, Nutrition That Keeps You Alive
, which helps readers understand the basics of keeping healthy, got published in 2012. Impressed with the book's content, my doctor suggested writing about diabetes and weight loss. In response to his suggestion, I published Diet for Diabetes and the Weight Conscious
which groups both conditions in one book. Though the content of this publication works well, many people who desire to lose weight but do not have a glucose issue have not gravitated to it because of its title. Hence, the need for this new title Diet for the Weight Conscious
that I'll include among the other publications that you’ll learn about at the end of this book.
