Patrick Johnson is an assistant teaching professor at Georgetown University. He previously taught at Marquette University and William Jewell College after receiving his PhD in physics from Washington University in St. Louis. Patrick gained his passion for Star Wars from his father, Eric, and has continued that throughout his life, watching the entire series in a marathon before the premieres of both Episode I and Episode VII. When not teaching physics or watching Star Wars, Patrick spends his time doing improv comedy with a local DC group. He is the author of The Physics of Star Wars.

    The human brain is the ultimate evolutionary achievement because of its complicated function, which allows for thinking, remembering, moving, and feeling. The ultimate aim of a healthy lifestyle is to keep one's brain in good working order throughout one's entire life. The prevalence of neurological diseases and the complexity of protecting brain function both rise as the global population ages. Hence, knowing what brain health is and why it matters is crucial.

    The brain and spinal cord make up the central nervous system, which is responsible for practically all of our mental, physical, emotional, and sexual activities. Our brains are responsible for every action we take, both consciously and unconsciously. Having a healthy brain is essential to living a long and fulfilling life, but what exactly is brain health and why is it so crucial?

    Brain health is the capacity to engage in all cognitive functions, such as learning, judging, communicating, and remembering. The brain is an intricate organ with many different but interconnected activities, including the interpretation of sensory input and regulation of motor activity; the regulation of thought and emotion; and the maintenance of regular patterns of behaviour and social awareness.
