    Chapter One

    Double Barrel

When I first got into massage school, one of the first things we had to purchase was a lotion holster. Many of us bought the first one that we could–usually at the school we attended, or the cheapest that we could find–after all, we just spent over $5000 to enter school.

I shopped around until I found the holster I wanted to wear for what has been the length of my massage career so far. I found a well-made black double holster for about $25 at the local massage supply store. It was exactly what I wanted.

I was using either lotion or oil, or sometimes a combination of both, depending upon what we were doing. I offered a choice if it didn’t matter to me. It was important to me to have both available for whatever my patients wanted and what I needed.

Later, I began using a blend that I developed that works well for what I need (contact me at htmt0997@gmail.com or on Facebook at Human Touch Massage Therapy for my recipe or to purchase). On the other side of the holster, I have placed Sombra (it’s like Icy/Hot if you are not familiar) into a squeeze bottle to use as needed.

My patients appreciate the ease I have of using one or the other without missing a stroke, and I’m sure yours will too. The last time I looked, you can find a double barrel holster similar to mine for only $16 on the famous online shopping site. It is well worth the money spent.

    Chapter Two

    What's Essential

During the practical massage portion in school, they prohibited us using essential oils in our lotion since it may ‘offend’ some patients. I wanted to use
