INTRODUCTION
Mastering our emotions is an important skill that can help us in many areas of our lives. Not only can it help us to be more effective in achieving our goals and make better decisions, but it can also help us to lead happier and more fulfilled lives.
One historical figure who is often cited as an example of someone who mastered their emotions is the Stoic philosopher Epictetus. He taught that our happiness is determined not by external events, but by our own attitudes and reactions to them. By mastering our emotions, we can remain calm and centered even in difficult situations, and not be swayed by the ups and downs of life.
Another historical figure who exemplified emotional mastery is Mahatma Gandhi, the leader of the Indian independence movement. He taught non-violence and civil disobedience, and through his leadership helped India gained independence from British rule. He was able to remain peaceful and persistent in his pursuit of freedom, even in the face of immense opposition and violence. His emotional mastery allowed him to inspire millions to join his cause and achieve a great goal.
Similarly, many famous figures in history like Martin Luther King Jr, Nelson Mandela, Abraham Lincoln, were all able
