Crystal Dawn

When she’s not out hunting rogue vampires and werewolves, you can find Crystal Dawn out exploring the galaxy. She can do it all without ever leaving her computer. She kicks ass, takes names, and puts it all down for the enjoyment of her readers. At least that’s what I think she told me. Writing came as a natural outlet for her overly creative mind. She has always told stories and even written some but publishing books didn't start until 2012 with The Rebirth, was the first of the Planet Amazon books. Crystal has also been lucky to have some wonderful beta readers who keep her on track and help inspire her.Secretly, she crushes on all her sexy heroes because all her stories end happily. That is one of the things that makes writing such a joy. Knowing that it makes her reader's day a little brighter. Not that she doesn't read sad books sometimes. While still in school, she read Where the Red Fern Grows and cried like a baby. It was a wonderful book and sometimes a bit of sadness has to be put in books because that's part of life. While she reads all kinds of books at some time or another, PNR and SFR, which she writes is what she reads the most for pleasure. When she started writing, she decided on going Indie after the first two books because an author has more control. She believes Indie will compete well and continues to grow. The need to give pleasure to her readers keeps her going and she sees a long career ahead. Growing up mostly in the NW Arkansas area, it has given her a good place to set some stories and many of her characters come from there or nearby SW Missouri. The start of her stories is the easy part. Finishing them is a little harder when all the stories are in there trying to get out. She loves reading, chocolate, fine sweet wine, and traveling among a large list of pursuits. Her favorite people, after her family and close friends, are her readers who she says are some of the most wonderful people in this galaxy and the next.

    Chapter 1

    Rafe

It was a small pack in Canada not that far from the US border. The whole pack was in an upheaval. This heavenly looking alpha had joined their pack but not really participated much. Their old alpha was not a very nice guy, and it was not that they had been unhappy to see him go, but when the young male had challenged him, he was so pretty no one thought he could fight. They had been wrong and now they had a new alpha they knew nothing about.

Things had been bad with Alpha Gray, but no one was foolish enough to think that things couldn't get worse. Don had been about to ask Lori to mate him, and surprisingly the old alpha had given his approval. He should have hurried and done it because now he would have to get approval from the new alpha, and he was quite the ladies’ man. What if he wanted her for himself? If he did then he would say no and he would not allow their mating.

Don knew without the slightest doubt that Lori was his. They were fated ones and among were wolves that was the most sacred joining of all. Even so, that did not guarantee that the alpha would bless their mating. They were young and had no strong standing in the pack yet. In the hierarchy they were both just below the middle rank. Don could fight, but he could not match the more experienced fighters. What would he do?

Did you ask him yet? Darryl asked.

No, what will I do if he says no? What if I draw attention to her and he decides he wants her?

Those are things you really need to know and the only way to find out is to ask him.

You're right, but it's not easy to approach him.

No, the new alpha does not seem very approachable. It may be because of all the women that do approach him and throw themselves at him. Every one of them wants a favor. Times have been hard because alpha Gray was not a good man, and he sucked the life from this pack. I would go so far as to say that this new alpha doesn't have many resources to work with. I have also heard that he likes the ladies, but I have never heard that he was a nuisance with those that did not want him. Are you afraid that Lori might go after him?

What? Of course not, she is my mate, my fated one and she knows it, Don observed.

Then find your balls man and just go asked. Greg had approached and they'd not noticed him. That guy was rough, but he was near the top of the hierarchy.
