Crystal Dawn

When she’s not out hunting rogue vampires and werewolves, you can find Crystal Dawn out exploring the galaxy. She can do it all without ever leaving her computer. She kicks ass, takes names, and puts it all down for the enjoyment of her readers. At least that’s what I think she told me. Writing came as a natural outlet for her overly creative mind. She has always told stories and even written some but publishing books didn't start until 2012 with The Rebirth, was the first of the Planet Amazon books. Crystal has also been lucky to have some wonderful beta readers who keep her on track and help inspire her.Secretly, she crushes on all her sexy heroes because all her stories end happily. That is one of the things that makes writing such a joy. Knowing that it makes her reader's day a little brighter. Not that she doesn't read sad books sometimes. While still in school, she read Where the Red Fern Grows and cried like a baby. It was a wonderful book and sometimes a bit of sadness has to be put in books because that's part of life. While she reads all kinds of books at some time or another, PNR and SFR, which she writes is what she reads the most for pleasure. When she started writing, she decided on going Indie after the first two books because an author has more control. She believes Indie will compete well and continues to grow. The need to give pleasure to her readers keeps her going and she sees a long career ahead. Growing up mostly in the NW Arkansas area, it has given her a good place to set some stories and many of her characters come from there or nearby SW Missouri. The start of her stories is the easy part. Finishing them is a little harder when all the stories are in there trying to get out. She loves reading, chocolate, fine sweet wine, and traveling among a large list of pursuits. Her favorite people, after her family and close friends, are her readers who she says are some of the most wonderful people in this galaxy and the next.

    Big Cats

    Book 1

    Sebastian

Sebastian is moving his pride headquarters to what he hopes will be a permanent home. Seven groups of big cats will be forming an alliance for mutual defense and to aid in the growth of all their groups. The last thing he needs right now is a mate. Too bad the goddess does things her own way.

Andi is busy building her flower shop into a prosperous business in a town the size of a shoe box. She gave up on men, who has the time for them anyway? If only a certain arrogant alpha would get the message. Things get even worse when she's attacked repeatedly by mercenaries looking for a potential white wolf mate to sell to a customer. Will her life ever settle down?

    Big Cats series

    Book 2

    Titus

Titus supposed he should feel honored that Sebastian had put him in charge of the private school for their children. He didn’t. It was one headache after another with the interviews being the worst until Beth came in. His tiger roared in approval, she was his.

Beth had a bad history with males. If she didn’t, the sexy tiger might appeal to her. She was tired of supernaturals trying to mate her because of her bloodline. This would be just another one, so she intended to steer clear of him.

    Big Cats

    Book 3

    Ciaro

Life was all about change and since he’d met Mairi, his opinion about mating had changed. He was ready for her whether she was ready or not.

So Ciaro was handsome and could be charming when he wanted to be. That meant almost nothing to her. She didn’t want a mate and he couldn’t have her.

Two beautiful people with a fate in common. One fought it while the other was ready to embrace it. Those things always turned out good, right?

    Big Cats series

    Book 4

    Azrael

He’d entered this feline nation thing, or whatever they planned to call it, for one reason. Azrael wanted to save his kind. There was no way he was looking for a mate, but if he found the right female leopard or maybe any female cat, he might settle down. The old human female was just not his type.

Maddie Hawkins was not happy with her cousin Ariel. She’d agreed to help the leopard shifters for Ariel, but Azrael just pissed her off. Sure, he looked like a fallen angel like his name hinted, but he was an asshole, plain and simple.

Do opposites attract? It looks like it when you see the sparks fly between these two very different people.

    Big Cats series

    Book 5

    Channing

Viv was confused now that she had met Channing. Glen was trying to charm her, but it already wasn’t working and now she’d been hit in the heart by Channing the cheetah leader. It was too soon, and her mother had recently mated. There was enough excitement. Besides, Channing didn’t seem to care for her.

The woman drove him nuts. He had worked hard to organize his people and mating would have to wait. She didn’t look like the kind that could handle that. He’d just keep her at a distance until he was ready. Whenever that would be.

An emotionally wounded woman and a man that put his people first. How the hell was that going to work out?

    Prologue

It had started in a surprising way. Lincoln had thrown her over his shoulder and carried her off. She’d been stunned at first and hadn’t said a thing. If the male had just wanted sex, she’d have agreed. Nothing was simple. He wanted forever.

    "You what?’ She asked.

I want to mate you. You know what that is? Linc asked.

Of course, but I’m not looking for a mate. She’d replied.

There’s no male scent on you. You’re single right? He’d asked.

Yes, single and loving it. She answered.

He’d stared at her as if she spoke a foreign tongue. That’s not natural. We’re fated mates. Don’t you feel it?

There’s an attraction but it doesn’t mean we’ll stay together. Where are we? I’m not familiar with this place.

This is a home I bought when Seb first suggested the move here. My cook fixed us a meal so we can talk privately. Please sit and she’ll serve us. Linc suggested.

Fine, but you’ll take me home once we’re done?

I will. He agreed as he helped her into her seat. His seat was across from her, but the table was small and made for two.

His cook wheeled in a cart loaded with food. Haze looked at the food that was set before her appreciatively. Thank you. She told the cook. Rough she was but she’d always had manners.

With a mom like Maddie, it was no surprise she was opinionated, and her army time had made her even tougher than her upbringing. She wasn’t anyone to mess with and the males around here had better realize that.

What is this? A date? She asked.

If you want it to be. Linc agreed.

    I don’t date.

    What do you do?

I have sex and move on.

You are like a male? Only after gratification? Linc asked.

Exactly. True love doesn’t exist. I learned that the hard way.

To say he was shocked was an understatement. It didn’t matter because he had no intention of letting this woman go ever! This meal was just the start of something special.

    Chapter 1

    Doing the Job

    (Haze)

Haze was working hard with a full crew. The job was tough, but she was tougher. Life had hardened her heart, but it had made her better at any job she took. Love was just a distraction, and she didn’t intend to let love get to her, not now or ever. At least not ever again. After what she’d been through, it was understandable why she’d never want to love again.

So many years invested in a relationship down the drain. She supposed they’d gotten along so well because they’d been apart so much. He’d sucked as a dad, but she wasn’t mom of the year with being away fighting wars, so she hadn’t complained. The kids had nannies and they had said they’d been fine, but now she had her doubts and was feeling a load of guilt.

That was the way things went sometimes. You lived your life the best way you could then you found out it hadn’t been good at all. The funny thing was she’d picked him because he wasn’t too handsome. That had made her think he wouldn’t run around on her. He’d been successful enough, but he’d otherwise been an average Joe.

Maybe she should have found a mister mom? He would have been with the kids all the time and there for her whenever she came home on leave. Then again, she heard lots of sad tales from the guys she worked with about how their stay at home mom wives left them for some other guy that was around more.

It was possible there was just no way to win. Did it really matter anyway? The past was done, the divorce over, and she and her kids were back home near her mom. There was no one like her mom and had she stayed around home she would have given her the best advice but only if it were asked for,

Her sister, Viv, had come home and turned her life around completely. But she’d taken another chance on love. Haze didn’t know if she could ever do that again. It had stung and maybe that was the biggest problem of all. If she’d loved the man, it would have been harder. Mostly it was pride and tearing up her life that had bothered her. He’d gone after a young hussy that was looking for nothing but a wealthy man.

She’d found him and he was a stupid one. He’d showered her with money and done anything necessary to draw her in. Once the money was gone, she would be too. There better be no crying to her, she wouldn’t listen to it. Her money had gotten invested, except for enough to buy a house and see to her kids. Her kids would come first from now on.

Looking over her shoulder she saw Linc sitting at the picnic table. What was wrong with that guy? She was alright, but she wasn’t worth all the trouble he was going through. Hopefully, this would quit soon. When those cats of his all hit surely, he would be too busy to bother her anymore. Haze laughed to herself. Linc would be going nuts with all the cougars around. It suddenly occurred to her she would be helping him. That wouldn’t be any fun at all.

He was different from her ex-husband. Linc was handsome and smart. But he was chasing her just like Clarence had. Maybe that was partly why she was running? Clarence had come on base one day and wandered into her office. He’d been there to see her boss, General Mayfield. The man had tried to charm her, but she’d resisted for a while. Flowers and gifts had softened her, and she’d decided to give him a chance.

The soldiers were too much like her for things to work out and she was ready to settle down and have a kid or two. The first date had been wonderful. They’d gone to a restaurant that had a glass ball on top. This floor had spun so you could see every part of the city below. Maybe she’d let his money sway her and she shouldn’t of. He’d spared no expenses at all.

They’d gone on a carriage ride she hadn’t even realized was available here and she’d loved that too. When he’d taken her home, he’d only given her a small kiss and asked for another date. Yeah, she’d said yes immediately. Apparently, her now ex-husband knew how to get what he wanted. After all, he’d ended up with her until he was done with her. What a fool she’d been. She snapped out of her past reflections. They would do her no good now.

Her crew was starting on the framing of the clowder house. She got a big kick out of the names of some of these houses the cats had. Not that she’d laugh out loud about it. Haze had her own type of manners, and she wasn’t rude and didn’t pick on anyone weaker than her. Bullies bothered her and she would never be one.

Right now, she tried to keep her mind on her work and off the handsome male sitting on the picnic bench near their construction site. She’d been plain about her way of seeing things, yet
