About this ebook

In the process of moving to a new house, a young girl named Tiffany loses her beloved stuffed dog, Rex. Her brother, Jordan, is responsible for this unfortunate event. At first, he is unsure what to do. Eventually, he prays for God to send his sister a new dog she could love, and one that could never get lost again.

God sends an angel on a mission, and the angel picks out a stuffed dog that he blesses to bring comfort to the little girl. Jordan decides to give Tiffany the special stuffed animal as a Christmas present. The young girl instantly loves the stuffed dog and names him Woo Woo. The stuffed dog never leaves her side, and the two of them, along with Jordan, go on many adventures together.

These stories are dedicated to my daughter Tiffany, who passed away in a car accident in October 2021. She is forever missed. My daughter was a big fan of movies and shows on television. She loved stories. Hopefully, through Tales of Woo Woo, her memory will live on forever.

    Tiffany Meets Woo Woo

    Chapter 1

Where is he? Tiffany asked, opening another one of the brown moving boxes.

She pushed through the crunchy packing peanuts, but there were only picture frames in that one. She brushed her wavy brown hair behind her ears and stared at the opened boxes around her bedroom.

    Jordan! she cried out.

Jordan peeked his head into Tiffany's bedroom. What is it? I'm trying to finish setting up my room.

    I can't find Rex!

Have you checked all the boxes in your room? Jordan asked.

Yes, I already checked. Rex isn't in any of them.

    Maybe Mom knows.

Tiffany sighed and hurried out of her room and down the stairs of their new townhouse. Mom! she shouted.

    I'm in the kitchen.

Tiffany rushed toward the sound of her mother's voice. Her mom was unpacking silverware and plates.

    Mom, I can't find Rex!

Rex? Her mom looked confused, and Tiffany knew what that meant.

Her mom didn't know either. Tiffany's shoulders slumped forward. At seven years old, Tiffany considered her stuffed dog Rex to be her best friend.

Rex is your spotted stuffed dog, right? her mom asked.

Yes. Tiffany turned back around, hoping that her mom remembered where Rex had gone. I can't go to sleep tonight without him, and he'll be lonely if he's stuck in a box all night.

We packed all your things in the moving boxes. If he's here, then he's in the boxes in your room.

"What do you mean if he's here?!" Tiffany wailed.

She knew she was whining. Her mom didn't like whining, but she was worried about Rex.

Well, you remember we did a lot of sorting before we moved. We didn't want to move things that we don't use anymore. Are you sure you didn't sort him into the giveaway pile?

I'm sure! Tiffany sped out of the room and up the stairs to her new bedroom. She searched through all the boxes again, dumping random items onto the floor. She had a dozen stuffed animals, but none of them were Rex.

Finally, curling into a ball on her bed, she buried her face in her hands.

Tiffany, Jordan said, walking cautiously into the room.

Tiffany jerked her head up, searching her brother's hands to see if he was holding Rex. Do you…have Rex? she asked, even though his hands were empty.

Jordan shook his head. I think…we gave Rex away.

Tiffany froze, and she shook her head now. No, we wouldn't do that. I love Rex!

I think I kind of…accidentally…put him in the wrong pile, Jordan said slowly.

No. Tiffany shook her head, refusing to believe it.

I might have gotten confused. I'm sorry, Jordan said.

Tiffany saw that her brother was telling the truth. Her heart began to ache. She didn't want Rex to be gone forever.

She pointed to the door of her room. Get out! she yelled.

I didn't do it on purpose. I said I was sorry.

    Leave! Now!

Jordan hurried out of her room, and Tiffany slammed the door behind him, turning to stare at her room.

She had been excited about going to live in a new place, but now her room seemed like a stranger's house. She didn't think she would like this house, not without Rex.

    Chapter 2

Tiffany walked into the church service with Jordan and her dad. The church was adorned with a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. Multicolored lights and Christmas balls covered the tree with an angel seeming to fly at the very tip of it.

Jordan tried showing the angel to Tiffany, but she crossed her arms and turned away from him. She was still mad about Rex.

Jordan's stomach turned over. He knew it was all his fault, but it was an honest accident. He wouldn't have given away his sister's favorite dog on purpose.

Dad led them into the sanctuary, and they sat on pews, waiting for the service to start. The first song was one of Jordan's favorite Christmas songs: "Joy to the World," and he nodded his head to the beat.

He couldn't help it though. He looked at Tiffany again, and her arms were still crossed. She wouldn't look at him, and she wasn't singing.

Jordan found it difficult to pay attention to the service because he was so worried about his sister. Would she be mad at him forever? He had to do something to fix the situation, but he wasn't sure what to do.

Mom told Jordan she had looked on the internet for another stuffed animal just like Rex, but they couldn't find one that Tiffany liked. Tiffany didn't want a dog that was all brown or one with white polka dots. She wanted Rex.

After church, their dad talked with a few adults while Tiffany mingled with a few of her friends. Jordan stood alone.

Jordan looked up at the front of the church and swallowed. The pastor was seated there on the front pew as he waited to see if anyone needed counseling or prayer.

The aisle stretched in front of Jordan, but he was willing to try anything to help his sister. He slowly walked up the aisle until he stood in front of the pastor.

Even though he was tall for a nine-year-old, Jordan felt like the pastor was a giant.

What's going on, young man? the pastor asked.

I made a big mistake. I accidentally lost my sister's favorite stuffed animal, Jordan explained, looking down at the ground.

He feared the pastor would be disappointed with him. He believed everyone was, and he didn't like people being mad at him.

I'm sure that made you feel bad, didn't it?

Jordan nodded. I don't know how to fix it. I don't like Tiffany being mad at me.

Well, it's an accident, and I'm sure you've told her that, right?

    Right.

Have you tried praying about it?

Jordan thought about that for a second. He hadn't prayed about it, but he wasn't sure if it would help.

I didn't do that, he admitted.

    "Well, praying is always
