About this ebook
Nelly Theunis lived in less that favorable circumstances. Her new neighbor, Florrie became her best friend while her children neglected her. Then one day, she found a spring flowering lily in her garden, blooming at the end of summer. She considered it a sign of hope for her old age. The very same day, her son, born to her in middle age, came visiting for the first time in many months, promising to come again soon. At his next visit, he met a beautiful young lady on her way out. Curiously, he visited often until he met her again, but also starting to take good care of his mom, until he started dating the girl.
Nelly thought all hope was lost for her when she was evicted from her humble hut and put into an old age far away everything familiar. But her 'late summer lily' sprouted, bringing new hope for her yet again. She changed from a meek, downtrodden woman to a self confident person with a 'go-jump-in-a-lake' attitude, which was what caught the eyes of a wealthy newcomer in the home where she had to learn to stand on her own feet or get smashed. Was this gentleman the new sprout on her 'late summer lily'?
Magdel Roets
Magdel Roets never planned to become a writer. She just happens to be someone with a vivid imagination, and of course a lover of stories. Once in a while she would read a biography of something historical, but ninety percent of her reading list consists of fiction, novels, very few romance, lots of crime and suspense mysteries. Her favorite author is John Grisham, whose books she reads and rereads until she can quote from them. When she discovered Smashwords, she considered it the right time and opportunity to start writing seriously and published her first ebook entitled "Father's Will". Since she is a follower of Jesus Christ, her stories are all written from a Christian perspective. Her main characters are always committed Christians, people who grow spiritually as they go, or scoundrels being confronted with Christ and then has to make a decision for or against Him.Magdel is currently working on three new novellas that should be ready for publication early in 2016. So watch out for "Man in a Picture", "The Bigger Fish" and "Late Summer Lily".
