New Year, New Lou

RIGHT, 2021 is going to be different, Lou thought, flopping onto her leather sofa in front of the television. She was about to watch the New Year’s Day film which just happened to be her favourite chick flick.

Oh no! She jumped up. Number 1 on her New Year’s resolution list was to exercise more. Not just by dragging along for an hour on those cross-trainer thingies at the gym. No, proper exercise. Moving about at home. In the street. At work – although that would be tricky as she was a bus driver.

“Take the stairs when you can. Park in the space furthest from the supermarket when you shop,” her best friend, Angela, advised when she’d told her about her New Year plans.
