Love Lotus

Amauni Barker, born in Norfolk, VA on June 3, 2000 is a recognized artist by the pseudonym, 'Love, Lotus.' To give you further insight on her stage-name, a lotus flower resembles purity, enlightenment and rebirth. Lotus perceives that the meaning to this plant mirrors her inner-self and strength as a 'womb-man.' Therefore, she proudly took after the name 'Lotus.' As for 'Love,' it is a creative expression that derives from the idea of signing off on a letter. For example: Sincerely, John Doe. Moving forward, Lotus is a strong-willed and focus-driven young lady who is also a mother of twin daughters. The baby girls are the age of two and are named, 'Dream' and 'Skye.' Love, Lotus's babies are her sense of pride and joy. Parenthood has taught Lotus: patience and gratitude are imperative to receiving and giving to life in a abundant way. Furthermore, a grand accomplishment of Lotus's is her poem 'Unfold' being awarded a featured publication in 'South Carolina Bards,' honored by the 'Poetry Anthology of 2022' on August 27, 2022. In addition to this, Love, Lotus chose to seriously pursue poetry during the month of January, 2022. Since she was an elementary kid, Lotus's coping mechanism has been writing.
