In a Poet's Mind

About this ebook
I’ve had choices in my life that I had to make, some that didn’t work in my favor, but I never considered them as bad ones, I just took them as a loss and moved on. While going through my journey, it moved slowly and I had to learn patience. I’ve always wanted to do something important, but I knew there were challenges and big steps for acceptance, I started to notice the mouths that would speak around me and had to read the lips that sour the taste of judging words. So I've learned how to block out the negativity. In order to make it work I made some adjustments. My journey started when I first went through something, continuing on was the beginning of my phase. I realized that we make life hard by worrying so much instead of focusing on how to sort a situation. I write my thoughts down when they are strong, not that I would forget, but because they will be useful later. Going through a journey is never an ending because a journey is a lifetime.

Dedication
I created this book as a dedication of my thoughts and feelings from my mind to the things that I see. As an individual I see things in life different than the next, we were created that way. These are my freelance poems and short stories of things that I have experienced and what I think about each day. It’s not hard to be related to things that people go through. Sometimes you feel better expressing your thoughts in writing than speaking. Sometimes you have to sit back and be silent and watchful, so it’s not an explanation or a judge of character. I’m dedicated to the things my grandmother always taught me, like treating people well. Even though some may be cruel and judge you, don’t ever change who you are. I dedicate this to you. Thank you granny. To my brother that’s incarcerated and innocent. In our childhood we were raised under the same roof, sometimes mixed like oil and water, but was always thick like blood. I tilt my hat to you for keeping your head up through all that life carries, for maintaining your peace and showing us that anyone can stand up to whatever surrounds them, and how strong a man can be. Stay stronger my brother I love you. In a minute, in a minute.
