    Micky Goes to the Farm

    Once upon a time, not long ago, there lived a very lonely boy. He was an only child, and he lived in the city of New York. The boy lived with his mom and dad. They lived in a crowded six-story walk-up apartment building. The building had no elevator. There were many things that Micky did not like about New York. One thing he did not like was there were almost no horses. Micky liked horses. Sometimes in school, Micky would dream about having his own farm and having his own horses. Micky would draw horses of all sizes in art class.

    One sunny day after Micky came home from school, his father asked him a question. Son, how would you like to visit your grandma and grandpa in Utah? Well, Micky was very excited about the idea, because his grandparents are in Utah on a farm. They also have two horses his father told him. Now all day long in school, Micky dreamed of when school would end for summer break. Micky told his classmates of his soon-to-come trip. They became almost as excited as Micky was.

    July first could not come soon enough for Micky. When that day did come, Micky’s mom woke him early. He bathed and dressed himself just right, for he wanted to look his best for
