She was educated in the area and taught school there for over twenty-eight years, retiring on June 1, 2009. Her main subject area was English, but she spent some years teaching gifted students. She now works part time for the same district.
Barbara moved back to her hometown following a divorce. She has two children and one grandson. She enjoys reading, dabbling in drawing and painting, and writing poetry and short stories. She says she is happiest when she has a good book.view less
