Inspiration Point Too: More Inspirational Poems, Prayers, and Reflections
By Judy Hunt
()
About this ebook
This follow-up book from my first publication, Inspiration Point, is my continuing writing of poems, prayers, and reflections that have taken me through a time period of loss of elderly parents, moving, financial struggle, disasters, and a worldwide pandemic.
As I have gotten older, I see the importance more and more of sharing my love of God, family, friends, and our world with others through my writing. The writings are my connection with God and His connection, through me, to others. By sharing my personal experiences through my writing, I am hoping that others will know that they are not alone in their feelings and struggles and that God is always there to get them through anything.

Inspiration Point Too - Judy Hunt
God’s Been Trying to Reach You
When you are down and out,
and question what life’s about,
don’t ignore the shout.
God’s been trying to reach you.
When nothing seems to be clear,
and you are living in fear,
listen to that whisper in your ear.
God’s been trying to reach you.
When all your efforts seem to fail,
and all you can think of is to bail,
check your mail.
God’s been trying to reach you.
When you feel all alone,
and anxiety has set the tone,
answer the phone.
God’s been trying to reach you.
When you don’t know what to expect next,
and you are feeling stressed,
don’t delete your text.
God’s been trying to reach you.
When you have no food to put on the table,
and feel you are not worthy or able,
connect to the cable.
God’s been trying to reach you.
When all around you seem to misbehave,
and you are in need of a save,
return that beckoning wave.
God’s been trying to reach you.
When you feel lost along the shore,
looking for something more,
don’t ignore the knock at your door.
God’s been trying to reach you.
So when you see a sign,
or someone sends you a line,
please do not decline.
God’s been trying to reach you.
In the Eyes of the Creator
There is beauty in all around us;
hand painted by God on life’s canvas.
We see it everywhere we look,
the ocean, lake, river, and brook.
In the magical color arrays of the northern lights,
and the twinkling stars and moon that illuminate our nights
In the sunsets, sunrises, and rainbows,
even Crayola doesn’t know all the colors; only God knows.
From the purple orchid, red roses, and yellow marigold,
the variety of fruit on the trees that unfold,
to the blue skies, green grass, and aqua sea,
all of this created by God for you and me.
The winter with its wonderland blanket of clean freshly fallen snow.
The summer with its waving cornfields all in a row.
The spring with its blossoming orchards and growth anew.
The fall with multicolored leaves making a spectacular view.
From mountain top to valley far below,
to the desert, mesa, and plateau,
to the open field, wooded forest, and golden plain,
the beauty of which is hard to explain.
Beauty is not just in what we see.
It is also in sounds like laughter and glee,
the babbling brook, the lapping waves upon the shore,
the birds chirping, leaves rustling, and more.
Songs that are sung or music played,
the written word or speeches made,
the wonderful solo, the harmony of more,
can touch you with beauty to the core.
They say that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder,
but as I grow wiser and much older,
I realize it is in the eyes of the Creator as well.
He sees beauty in all of us that only He can tell.
He sees beauty in all He created;
beauty that cannot be dismissed or imitated.
He created all creatures including you and me,
without any mistake, a thing of beauty.
So whether you are young or old and gray,
in good shape, bad shape, straight, or gay,
healthy, sick, disfigured, disabled, short, or tall,
deaf, blind, or can’t even speak at all;
No matter what you look like, say, or do,
it doesn’t change how God sees you.
In the eyes of the Creator, you see,
lies the beauty inside you and me.
I Need You
I know that fear, anxiety, and depression are not of You.
I know that You are always with me and know what I am going through.
I know that You always have a plan for good, even when I can’t see anew.
But I am only human, and I need You.
I know I should feel joy and not be so blue.
I know that trusting isn’t always the easiest thing to do.
I know that having faith is the right thing to get through.
But I am only human, and I need You.
I know that You love me with a love so true.
I know that You can make things like brand-new.
I know that You give me strength to do what I must do.
But I am only human, and I need You.
A Song to Share
The birds sing their song,
all the day long.
The angels sing their praise
with their voices they raise.
We hear the solos, duets,
the trios, and quartets.
We listen to the orchestras and bands,
and join in with clapping hands.
We have choruses and choirs
to while away the hours.
We have records, discs, and tape
that we can use for escape.
We can go to a concert or a show,
put on ear buds or headphones while on the go.
There are radio stations of all kinds
with music to cheer and even stimulate our minds.
There are songs to tell a story.
There are songs of faith and glory.
There are songs we march to or dance.
There are songs of love and romance.
There are songs of protest; songs that teach.
There are songs that are just fun or songs that reach.
There is music that makes you move.
There is music that puts you in the groove.
There is soft rock, hard rock, and classic too.
There is country, gospel, jazz, and even blue.
There is rap, rhythm and blues, and hip-hop.
There is alternative, folk, bluegrass, and pop.
There is opera, classical, swing, and symphony.
These are just some of the many.
Whether in your car, room, church, or grand hall,
music is a language understood by all.
It doesn’t matter if you are alto, soprano, bass, or tenor.
Our voices all harmonize into sounds of pleasure.
Music is all around us everywhere,
and we all have a song to share.
So find your voice and sing along.
Even the birds have their own song.
Back in the Woods
He traveled far from home with the Navy,
And coast to coast in an RV
With lots of wonderful places for the eye to see,
But the place he always wanted to be
For his favorite view of nature was back in the woods.
Tree after tree he would fell,
