Thanks

When I Kneel

When I kneel down

To say my prayers,

I’ll tell the Lord

I know he cares.

And simply ask

For things I’ll need

That I might spiritually

Succeed.

I’ll ask for kindness

I can use,

To cheer someone

Who has the blues.

I’ll ask for love

That I can send

To someone else

And gain a friend.

I’ll ask for patience

At a time

When little things

Don’t seem to rhyme.

I’ll ask to be

Forgiven too

For all wrong things

I say and do.

I’ll ask for courage

Day and night

That I’ll stand up

For what is right.

I’ll simply close

With my final plea,

For three special blessings

Faith, Hope, and Charity.

The strength of a man

is not in his physical body,

but in his spirit

where courage lies.

The Wings of Love

The wings of love are faster by far

Than a speeding jet or a shooting star.

And all we do to make it grow

Is open our heart and let it go.

It travels with a mighty force

And naught
