Grandma's Therapy

About this ebook
This is a collection of thoughts and dreams sifted through and now gathered in a book. A showing of emotions throughout the years and how God influenced my life.
Realizing there is a time of beginnings and endings to our lives. Hopefully, a poem may reach into someone’s heart and bring a bit of understanding and peace.

About the Author
To my grandchildren—Makala, Jonah, Asa, and Kaia—who give my life purpose and meaning.

Miss Moye
In memory of Bertha M. Moye, my spiritual mother
She wasn't my mother
Though I wished her to be
She was a neighbor
Who somehow loved me.
I wasn't her daughter
She had daughters her own
But when I was lonely
I'd find her at home.
Now she lives
In heaven above
There with our Father
Who taught her to love.
Earth's Loss, Heaven's Gain
In memory of Ethel
Heaven gained a soul today,
As from the earth she walked away.
No more sadness, no more pain,
Purest love, she now has gained.
When God whispered Ethel's name,
Earth's loss is heaven's gain.
No need to ask if she could go,
God owns all time, don't you know?
In a whispered voice, He said, Come,
Toward Heaven, she did run
Into the arms of God's precious son.
Jesus held her by the hand.
She walked into the promised land.
No need to worry; she's now free.
Loved ones gone on before
Shout victory.
Earth's loss is Heaven's gain.
Left behind memories glow
To live in each heart, she did know
Pictures remind every time
So don't be sad, cause don't you see?
One day we too will be
Gathered beneath Heaven's tree of life,
Where she'll wait for each to greet,
Come, my child, it's time to go.
Don't look back; look straight ahead.
Take Jesus's hand to be led
Where you meet Heaven's hosts,
Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost.

Memory of Ethel
I See the Drop
In memory of Betty J. Prater, my sister.
I thought God was distant,
He seemed far away.
So I thought for me,
I'd just do things my way.
Life kept on moving,
with all its ups and downs.
Sometimes my life was hard,
when trust in self was found.
Age has some benefits,
as time does slow us down.
Then comes the thinking,
of life and what I've missed.
At last the door is opened,
if we choose to see.
Looking beyond ourselves,
for others, just not me.
God, in purest wisdom,
Has changed the heart to be
acceptance of the cross
and of Calvary.
When He sent His Son
who died for our sins, you see,
I now see the drop
that fell down on me.

God's Not Forgot
How can you say there is no God
if you never read His Word?
How can you say you don't believe
on things you've never heard?
We live our lives in busy times,
rushing to and fro.
We're only on the things important
to each of us,
