WALKING DOWN MEMORY LANE FOR A FESTIVE PODCAST THE DUKE OF CAMBRIDGE SHARES RECOLLECTIONS OF SINGING WITH MUM DIANA AND HIS CHILDREN’S LOVE FOR SHAKIRA
In a wonderful insight into his life, the Duke of Cambridge has spoken about the magical musical way his children start the day.
Prince George, eight, and Princess Charlotte, six, pick their favourite tunes and dance along, he says, while three-year-old Prince Louis tries to copy the movements as they dress up and run around the kitchen to a playlist that includes Shakira’s Waka Waka (This Time for Africa).
“It’s a really happy moment where the children just enjoy dancing, messing around, and singing,” says Prince William during a special Christmas episode of the Time to Walk podcast from Apple Fitness+, which encourages people to make time for a walk to help their mental and physical health.
As well as opening up about family life with his three children, the Duke shares memories of his mother Diana, Princess of Wales and of royal Christmases at Sandringham as he walks from the Queen’s Sandringham House to his Norfolk home Anmer Hall, passing St Mary Magdalene church, where the royals traditionally worship on Christmas Day.
