The title of The Costume Institute’s spring exhibition at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art is Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion. And this year’s Met Gala did just that, presenting A-list celebrities in an array of breathtakingly elegant and avant-garde gowns showcasing the very best of haute couture.
