Chapter 1

Bowing Down

The first idea that can transform your life is bowing down.

Bowing down is a concept to bring ease and clarity to your life. It is an effort to allow more grace into your life by seeing the true context of existence. Everything is one, and becoming available to the oneness is like tapping into a high-voltage power source. Your light as a human being will become extremely bright, and your ability to create will be greatly enhanced! When everything in your experience has become one, the channel for the energy of the oneness will flow through you. Your channels of being able to create and experience life powerfully are completely open.

Seeing something as above or below will not allow you to move forward. Especially seeing yourself as above or below or striving to be above will not lead you to any better position. Bowing down is seeing that you are one with the existence. It is an effort to see yourself and everything around you as one. To understand the context of your life and the intricacies of it all. Not always being caught up in your body, your mind, your personality, and your possessions. These are only bits and pieces of who you are. Bowing down is to put everything in perspective to be able to see everything just the way it is, not just incomplete parts. This concept is derived from the word upasana, which means sub-seat, in terms of you in relation to the existence or being in a state of devotion. Devotion as in holding something above yourself to the point that the object of devotion becomes more significant than you yourself, being completely devoted to the object of devotion.

What is grace? Grace in a way is the magic of life. It is ease. It is stability. Tapping into grace or living in harmony with grace means true progress. It is a meaningful and profound life. Without grace, life is full of friction, confusion, and instability. Bowing down is a way to tap into devotion and access grace. Life will then be in beautiful perspective, resulting in a harmonious and prosperous life.

What is the effect of devotion? Simplicity, progress, pleasantness, perspective, ease, understanding, and truth are by-products of devotion. Life will not be so confused because you will be focused and offering your life in a transformative way. A natural outcome of this will be progress in whichever direction you choose. Once you realize your position in the universe, you can devote yourself to whatever you choose in a profound way. It is the focus that determines our life. The devotion is just the transportation that takes you seamlessly through. Devotion can nearly be summed up by you being able to give yourself completely to the present moment. Whatever may be happening, you are not overlooking the present; you are doing your present to the fullest of your ability. Even if the present situation is challenging, you realize that what you are doing now and how you are doing it will determine your future in many ways.

No matter what you do, with grace and devotion, it will take on a powerful momentum. Because of these aspects being in play, you will become very pleasant due to your harmonious existence. Life will not be a struggle for you; rather, it will be an expression of your action. You will exude so many wonderful qualities due to the simple ease of life. To make life work well, you must have realized some fundamental truths. Life only works well when you know how to manage it well. Otherwise, you can slip into the abyss and wind up with a life of destruction. Through devotion, you will be open to realizing truths as they come and how to manage your life in the most effective way possible. You will in no way hinder life from revealing itself to you. You won’t hinder life from happening well; you will be allowing it to happen in full flow.

This is showing reverence for everything. By showing reverence, you have to pay attention to that which you are showing reverence. Reverence is to give yourself to everything equally, not overlooking anything or not paying attention to what is there, even something that is considered small or insignificant. Untruths will fall away when you realize everything is equally important. Untruth will fall away when what you deem as important is obsolete. Holding this reverence will transform how you experience life.

It may be a bit abstract, but it is not about understanding everything completely although this way of being will bring clarity and understanding to your life. It is about bringing yourself to a point of experience or realization in your life. This is not a philosophy or something you must follow. If anything, it’s conveying an emotion or way of being. At times, you may feel uneasy or question what you hold to be true. That is the point—knowing that seeking truth is the whole intention. Continue to stay focused, and the confusion will turn into seeking. Following this seeking is truth and the path to truth. By not shying away from the confusion, you will open the door to progress and understanding.

When you walk an unknown path, there may be confusion and uncertainty though you will realize that accepting the uncertainty is worthwhile instead of running from it. You will have to go through that uncertainty and confusion to get to the other side. Knowing your direction and intention for what you want to happen will be the guidance that will get you there. You will one day understand the value in walking the unknown path and its payoff. If you wait until you know the path completely to start walking, you will never make the journey. You will have to figure as you go. This is the journey of life. This is a life full of adventure and fulfillment. The risk you take is what is necessary to receive the payoff you seek. To step out and walk the unknown and uncharted path is all it takes. It is as simple as that, but there within lies the challenge. Are you willing to accept that challenge? When you set your desires far out, you are breaking off a bigger piece of life and action required. The destination you set for yourself will present challenges to you that you will have to work through. The grander the vision, the more will be required for you. You are asking to face more but also you are asking to accomplish more.

The universe is abstract, but we still live in it. It is a phenomenon that we must figure out how to be in. How to manage this phenomenon of life is crucial to your well-being and success. A piece of technology is not easily understood, but we still use it. Similarly, life is not always clear and understandable, but we still live in it. Concepts and ideas can be abstract like life but still able to implement effectively. The path doesn’t need to be completely understood but can still be trekked. Will you walk the path no matter the confusion and uncertainty or not? Though the path will need to be trekked either way to make progress in life. Whether you like it or not, you are already here on Earth living, so the trek has begun. Will you make this progress a reality in your life? Will you make it a beautiful experience or a struggle? Bowing down and paying attention will equip you with the highest possibility for success due to the oneness and an all-inclusive identity. The limited vision and attachment to limited identity will hinder you from dealing with the path the way the path needs to be dealt with. Simply attention to what the path requires of you to make it beautiful. How to act is what bowing down makes clear. You will walk straight to the destination without getting slowed down every step of the way. You are seeing everything as one and not in broken parts because you are getting out of the way of your vision. Your limited identity and skewed perception are what is holding you back from making very distinct progress. You can never move forward well if you feel yourself and your thoughts are more important that life itself. Bowing down to life and putting your life into context will empower you to make your life to its fullest.

The truth is a worthwhile endeavor. No one is forcing you to see the truth, but why live in ignorance? Why not walk the path and become aware of life? Becoming aware of the truth will draw you in once you realize it is important to seek and to know. The longing will become stronger when you realize knowing the truth is the highest aspect of your life. Furthermore, when you start to realize you’ve been living in ignorance, you will speed up the search for truth. Once you’ve found the truth, you will wonder why you waited so long. If you will live a life of ignorance and untruth, what was the point? Was it worthwhile? To live in ignorance is a life of confusion and struggle. Nothing will ever truly work for you. The solution is to live in awareness. The awareness will allow you to turn life into a beautiful play. Life will naturally work out for you due to your awareness and understanding of the fundamentals of human life. You will be able to get life to work for you, not be taken for a ride by it.

A life of truth or a life of ignorance?

Living a life of ignorance is like walking around in a world where everything is a prop and everyone is wearing a costume. Every place you go and every act you perform will be a dressed-up and exaggerated prop. All people will be an illusion and distorted. You will be living in a fantasy, not the reality. A fantasy where nothing is what it seems to be, and you will be another character in the large play of a misunderstood life. Although to see through the props and costumes is liberating. You will then be able to play life well.

Living in truth is like living in the play, but you are able to see through all the costumes and props. You can deal with everything as it truly is because you see beyond the physical and outer appearance of the physical manifestations. If you are not able to see the truth, you will be missing the mark due to the fact that you are responding to something that is not even there. You can see the person beyond the costume and the
