    About the Author

In memory of Jeannette Polley, my mentor, spiritual mother, and precious grandmother. You are greatly missed and loved. My promise is not forgotten. We will spend life in eternity, laughing and casting our crowns at the precious feet of our King and Savior, Jesus.

To the Lord, my treasure and life. I rise up and call you blessed and praise you. This book is yours, and I give you all glory.

    Chapter 1

    Come Out

God is calling us out to be separate from this world, to live holy lives, to be His children, to clean our lives up, and let Him be our Father.

We are past due living as carnal Christians, being content with just being saved. If you didn't say you were saved, no one would guess. It's time, past time to come out and grow up in the Lord, to mature.

And what hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. (2 Cor. 6:16–18)

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. (2 Cor. 7:1)

Maturity leaves behind the mode of what can God do for me? And opens the door to what can I do for you, Lord? How can I help you, Lord? When you stay in the Word and bring yourself into the place before God that He desires you to be, He fine-tunes and molds. You are the clay, and He is the Potter.

And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. (Gal. 5:24)

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world. (Titus 2:11, 12)

God has so much for us, we can't even begin to understand the depth we stretch into because He is endless. God has no limits.

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. (Ps. 32:8)

The body of Christ is short on time. He will split the eastern skies anytime. Will we be ready, be mature and waiting? Or still trying to walk in the middle with one foot in the world and the other in the church?

And we know that all things work together for the good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose. (Rom. 8:28)

There are jobs to be fulfilled, and no one can do them but you. God has something for everyone of us to do. If you don't do it, it goes undone. Only you can fulfill your job that is assigned to you. Trying to walk in both worlds conflicts with what God has for us.

So then they that are in the flesh can not please God. (Rom. 8:8)

The world is fleshy, carnal. We are to come out, be submissive to the will of God, and stay in the Word. We have to get to the place where we have to choose. Light and dark can't walk hand in hand.
