    A Glorious Bride - Victoria V. Boudreaux

    PREFACE

In January of 2020, I wrote the first edition of this book knowing with absolute certainty that it was a timely word from the Lord. Little did I know what would take place just 2 months later when our world was turned upside down with a global pandemic. As this began to happen, I started to realize that this shaking was necessary to precede what the Lord had in store for the church. The pandemic, though clearly a work of Satan, still served a purpose in God’s prophetic agenda.

And just like that—I saw it in the Word. I want to share this with every reader so that you will be convinced that the words of this book are ripe and ready for every believer to take a hold of in this season. What we’ve seen take place in the world has only provided a greater platform for the church to rise up in the glory of God and shine in the midst of darkness.

Two of the foundational scriptures in this book are found in Haggai 2 and Amos 9.

‘The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former...and in this place I shall give [the ultimate] peace and prosperity,’ declares the Lord of hosts.

    Haggai 2:9 AMP

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed…

    Amos 9:13 KJV

When I noticed that the verses leading up to both of these scriptures predict a worldwide shaking, everything seemed to make sense.

…I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of hosts.

    Haggai 2:6-7 KJV

…And I shall shake and sift the house of Israel among all nations like grain is shaken in a sieve [removing the chaff], but not a kernel [of the faithful remnant] shall fall to the ground and be lost [from My sight].

    Amos 9:9 KJV

The purifying of the bride of Christ will of course include a shaking and a sifting—a separation of what is false and what is true. What is true has stood the test, remained unshaken, and come out as gold refined by fire. The false has been exposed, and what was built on sand has come crumbling down. People are searching for what is real—they have realized they can’t put their trust in the government or in medical professionals or in job security or any earthly thing. This shaking has created a stage for the church to display the one thing that people need—Jesus Christ. This world is being shaken, but the true sons and daughters of God are rising in their glory.

Though this pandemic was, of course, a part of the beginning of sorrows, predicted in Matthew 24 pointing to Christ’s soon return, I believe the end is not quite yet. In the coming days before Jesus returns, we will see the church at the height of her glory. It won’t be Satan turning the world upside down, but rather the church turning the world upside down (Acts 17:6).

The world will see and know the glory of God through His church. He is coming quickly, and He is purifying His bride to make her radiant and white—ready for His coming.

    CHRIST IN ME

"Living within you is the Christ who floods you with the expectation of glory! This mystery of Christ, embedded within us, becomes a heavenly treasure chest of hope filled with the riches of glory for his people, and God wants everyone to know it!"

    Colossians 1:27 TPT

Living within you is the Christ! Have you ever thought about the gravity of this truth? Knowing this as a reality changes everything—no more living a mundane life, no more waiting to see what life will bring your way. No, you can now be filled with expectation to see the glory of God! What does it mean to be flooded with the expectation of glory? It is to know beyond doubt that you will see the goodness of God in every area of your life.

    RIGHTEOUSNESS

If Christ lives in you, then you carry in your spirit the fullness of everything that He is—this is the epitome of being joined with God. There is no more separation between you and Him. He is actually in you! This revelation becomes the reality of your righteousness—your perfect right standing and union with God. Understanding your righteousness is going to be the foundation for experiencing the glorious life that God has in store for you.

"But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord."

    1 Corinthians 1:30-31 KJV

If we are to glory in the Lord, we must first understand the glorious reality of all that Christ has become for us. God has made Jesus to become our Righteousness! Righteousness means your right standing or your justification before God. When you are justified, it means you are declared innocent and that there is no more sense of guilt or shame. Jesus Himself is your justification. Jesus Himself is your right standing before God Almighty. Jesus—the One who is the same yesterday, today, and forever, the One who endures forever, the One who is
