To the many souls who are true to Christ; who are filled with the real power of the Holy Spirit; who believe in the manifesting power of the Holy Spirit, in signs and wonders, in the healing of the sick, in dreams and visions, and in the prophetic revelation in the spiritual realm; who believe that God is still alive today and is moving in the lives of individuals who spend time with him; and who believe that it is just a matter of time before our Lord returns to rule and reign forever and ever.

To Clayton John Baptist, who encouraged me to write this book and has passed away with a massive heart attack during the time of writing. May his soul be blessed, and may he rest in peace. He confirmed what the Holy Spirit has spoken to my spirit.

    INTRODUCTION

This will be about the glorious appearing of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Revelation 11:15 NIV says, The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven saying: ‘The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his, Christ and he will reign for ever and ever.’

God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Whatever he has done yesterday, he still does today and will continue to do in the lives of all believers of all time. In order to experience the manifested presence of God, the believer must be dedicated to God in prayer, praise, worship, obedience, and commitment.

It is in these quiet times of praise and worship, when you are alone with God in your closet, that he shows up and reveals himself to you. We must continue to pray. God can do nothing in the earth realm and will do nothing until we, the believers, cries out to him in prayer. It is prayer that moves the hand of God. Acts 1:14 KJV says, These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

The kingdom of God is not about material possession; it is about spiritual possession. God is coming back not for a materialistic church but for a spiritual church. In Luke 12:14 NIV, Jesus replied to the crowd, Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you? In verse 15, Jesus said to them, Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions. Jesus was not concerned about political and civil matters, as he was concerned about spiritual matters.

Church of God, let’s rise up in this lateness of times and seasons to proclaim the message of the kingdom of God.

His return is imminent, and it will be glorious.

I hope this book will be a blessing and an encouragement to the body of Christ. Let’s continue to fight the good fight of faith and persevere in our walk with Christ until that very hour of his glorious appearing.

    CHAPTER ONE

    THE CALL

    The Calling

Every person born in this world is called by God and has a divine destiny, a divine plan to be fulfilled in their lifetime. There is a divine calling, a divine assignment, a mandate that is appointed to every child of God born into this world.

The Word of God came to Jeremiah, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations (Jeremiah 1:5 KJV). Jeremiah was called by God for a specific purpose. He had a specific plan drawn out by God for his life. He had purpose. He was an individual with a unique calling, and so is every one of God’s children born into this world, saved and unsaved.

We are all unique, with different callings, working individually to fulfill God’s plan and will in our lifetime, knowing that one of these days, we will share in his glorious appearing. Each individual is sent on this earth by God to do something vital and specific for him. Some are called into the healing ministries, some into the prophetic ministry. Some are called as apostles, evangelists, or pastors. Some may be called into the ministries of assistance or administration. Whatever our calling, we should be working toward fulfilling our divine destiny in God, which is eternal life in Jesus Christ.

You are special and unique. No one else can fulfill your divine calling. You are dressed by God Almighty for that purpose, which is why God gives us these assignments, and we are the best for the task. When we are called by God, he does the selecting, the calling, the anointing, and the empowering for the momentous task.

Our callings are complete callings because God gives us an increased measure of the Spirit’s impartation that believers may receive more wisdom, revelation, and knowledge concerning God’s redemptive purposes for present and future salvation and experience a more abundant power of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Ephesians 1:17–18 KJV say, The God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. Paul prayed for the Ephesians to have a specific enablement by the Spirit so his readers would have an understanding of the mysteries of God, to get to know God more intimately as their Father, and to become closer friends with him. To know God personally is salvation. To know him increasingly is sanctification and to know Him perfectly is glorification. A friendship with God that does not grow tends to vanish with the years. We, the believers, are growing toward perfection and glorification, as this cannot happen in our sinful bodies.

When we are called by God, he will save us from our sins: Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel (2 Timothy 1:9–10 KJV).

When you are truly called by God, no one has to give you a prophetic word. If or when a prophetic word is given, this would be a confirmation to what God has already deposited in your spirit. God himself will deposit this wisdom and revelation into your spirit. There will be a yearning in your spirit for the things of God to know him, to seek him, to please him. We will seek to be in his presence, we will hate what God hates, and we will see what he sees. Our relationship with him will be so unique that we would not want to hurt him or grieve his Holy Spirit.

When we walk in ungodliness and unrighteousness, we will feel uncomfortable. There will be a feeling of worthlessness and shame. The Holy Spirit will minister to our hearts; he will bring to our minds the things that are wrong, consequently confessing our sins before God, making things right with him.

Let me give an example of how awesome and forgiving God is even in our sins. Early last year, I was caught in a situation. This situation was of the flesh. I didn’t think the situation was wrong, but somehow God had a problem with the way I was behaving. Right in the middle of the situation, I went into a trance, and I saw the breastplate of righteousness. Immediately, I had to stop. I realized that God did not like what I was doing.

I repented and asked him to forgive me of my sins and give me the strength to do what is right. So even in the midst of our sins and our unrighteousness, God reaches out to us, especially when there is a calling and anointing on our lives. To live a consecrated life of righteousness and holiness is not an easy task. The Spirit is saying one thing, and the flesh is doing another thing. But thanks be to God. He has given us the power of the Holy Spirit to help us to overcome these great battles, the battle of the flesh.

Galatians 5:16–17 NIV say, So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.

When we are connected to God in spirit, he will minister to us through the power of the Holy Spirit. Jeremiah was given a revelation. The word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations (Jeremiah 1:4–5 KJV).

God knew Jeremiah even before he was born; he was called, sanctified, and ordained a prophet. Spiritually, Jeremiah was in tune with God. He communicated with God; therefore, God was able to minister directly into his spirit the Word of the Lord. The Word of the Lord came to him with a satisfying assurance to himself that it was the Word of the Lord and not a delusion.

When you live in the spirit, you will know the difference between the voice of the enemy (Satan) and the voice of God. You will be able to differentiate which voice is speaking to you. John 10:27 KJV says, My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

God told Jeremiah that he had ordained him a prophet to the nations. God had a purpose for Jeremiah. He said, Before I formed you in the womb, I knew thee, I sanctified thee, that is I determined that thou shouldest be a prophet and set thee apart for office.(Jeremiah 1:5) NIV. And (Galatians 1:15) NIV says, But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace . We are all called by grace through the satisfying blood of Jesus Christ.

    My Call

I was called by God at the tender age of eight years. There has always been a yearning in my heart to know God, even at such a young age. I remembered going to my mom at eight years old and telling her that I wanted to be saved, only to be told by my mother that I was too young to know what being saved was all about.

I was called by God for a purpose in this life, and he found a way to get to me. At the age of sixteen years, God reached out to me a second time in a supernatural way. He revealed himself to me in a vision. This was my first encounter with Jesus in the spiritual realm; my life has never been the same.

He lovingly reached out to me, and in this vision, he appeared to me in the sky. He took up the whole sky. He was dressed in white, and he was so beautiful. He ministered to me for a while, and when he was finished ministering, he called me by name. He said, Christine, I’m leaving this song with you: When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound and time shall be no more and the morning breaks eternal bright and fair, when the chosen ones shall gather to their home beyond the shore and the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there. He was ministering to me about his glorious appearing at the end of this age, when all the saints of all times will be gathered together to reign with Christ forever and ever.

Revelation 11:17 KJV says, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. What a glorious appearing that will be when all the saints in Christ will finally meet with him to live forever, we will reign with him and he will be our God.

Now that I had a divine encounter with Jesus, I could not live the same life or hang out with the same people. My goals were different; how I viewed myself in this world was different. I live in this world, and yes, I have to interact with others and also with the things of this world, but now my life would be separated from most of the world’s activities. I live and breathe God. I live in the Spirit.

God called me at the tender age of eight years old, not fully understanding or coming into the knowledge of God. Ecclesiastes 12:1 NIV says, Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them. God wants us to remember him in our youth while we have not yet become involved in the things of this sinful world. He wants to be involved in our life for his good and our good. Therefore, remembering our creator means we are to act in the way he intended us to act when he created us, from our youth even to our old age. He simply wants us to live our lives devoted to him alone, not to Satan or the world. He has given us life and all the opportunities that come with youth; therefore, our gratefulness and our thankfulness for life should be divinely devoted to him.

The second verse of the song says, On that bright and cloudless morning when the dead in Christ shall rise, and the glory of his resurrection share; when the chosen ones shall gather to their home beyond the shore and the roll is called up yonder I’ll be there. As I meditated on this verse, I realized that there is hope for the believer, there are promises, and there is an assurance that one of these days, when the roll is called up yonder, we will be there, and only the chosen ones shall gather to share in the glory of the resurrection and the glorious appearing of Jesus Christ at the end of this age. This hope of gathering together is for all believers of all time, and it is on this glorious day that both the dead and the living will share in the glory of his resurrection. What a wonderful day that will be when we all see Jesus.

I also realized that not everyone is going to make that roll call. In order to make that call, one has to have a change of heart. We should first acknowledge that we are all sinful creatures, descendants of our sinful parents Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. We then have to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and savior of our lives, believing that he paid the penalty for our sins on the cruel cross of Calvary so that all mankind would have a hope of everlasting life. That is the promise of the scripture.

Genesis 2:15–17 NIV read, The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. And the Lord God commanded the man, ‘You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.

We all have to repent for our sins. We have to first turn away from everything that is sinful and accept Christ as our personal savior. In order to make the roll call and inherit eternal life a decision has to be made. For the believers, the glorious appearing is all about making a conscious decision to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and to live in the blessed hope of a victorious return of our Lord to be with him forever.

John 3:16–17 KJV tell us how much God loves us and the price that was paid in order for mankind to inherit eternal life: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Verse 3 of the song says, Let us labor for the master from the dawn till setting sun, let us talk of all his wondrous love and care, then when all of life is over and our work on earth is done and the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there. The job of those who has accepted Christ as savior is to labor for him from dawn till the setting sun. We are to be constantly at work, telling others who do not know him about his love and the plan of salvation for their lives and the hope of eternal life in Christ.

This song is a powerful song of revelation. Jesus gave me an overview of the End Times and how I, as a believer, and all believers should live and also what my role would be for the End Times. This would be the proclamation of the Gospel of Christ.

These are the revelations revealed to me by the Holy Spirit in this song:

    1. The Trumpet Call of God: For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first (1 Thessalonians 4:16 NIV).

    2. The Rapture of the Saints (the Rising of the Saints in the Air): Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words (1 Thessalonians 4:17–18 KJV).

    3. The Passing of Time as We Know It: And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming (2 Thessalonians 2:8 KJV).

    4. The Gathering of All Saints at the End of Time: But as many as received him, to them gave he the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12 KJV). Those who have received him will have the power to live and persevere in this sinful world and will become sons of God because we believe on his name.

    5. The Breaking of a New Dawn: They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might (2 Thessalonians 1:9 NIV). Many who had never committed their lives to Christ even though they had many opportunities to receive Christ as their personal savior will be punished with everlasting destruction.

    6. The Glorious Appearing of the Kingdom of God: Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power (1 Corinthians 15:24 NIV).

This song is such a powerful revelation of all the scenes that will take place at the end of time, very soon at Christ’s return. In order to share in this new life, we must fulfill the call that is designated to all people; we must accept Jesus Christ as the Lord and savior of our lives. We are all called by God, every one of us; the choice is ours. The sacrifice was brought on the cruel cross of Calvary for all men. How we fulfill this call is up to us, for salvation is offered to all men. The choice is ours. How do we fulfill the call of God on our lives?

Fulfilling the Call of God on Your Life

Jesus was directly ministering to me about his return at the End Times. It was up to me to fulfill my call and walk into my destiny. He was saying to me, Christine, do what is necessary to keep your name written in the Lamb’s book of life. In this revelation, I believe that when we are born, our names go automatically in the Lamb’s book of life. It’s up to each individual to keep their names written in it and to choose life or death, heaven or hell. The choice is ours.

Verse 3 of the song gives a powerful revelation of what the saints ought to be doing on the earth until he comes. We are to labor for the master from the dawn till setting sun. We are to work for him from morning to evening, spreading the Gospel, trying our best to win many souls for the kingdom of God. Let us talk of all his wondrous love and care. Minister the Word of God; tell those who do not know about the good news of salvation. Then when all of life is over and our work on earth is done, when we have done all that he has called us to do, and when we have fulfilled our divine appointment, the roll will be called up yonder, and we will be there, whether in our death or at the trumpet’s sound, before death or at the rapture of the church. What an awesome revelation! I didn’t understand this powerful revelation in this song until I began writing this book on January 3, 2015.

When God calls us or if there is a calling on our life, there will be no rest until we have done what he has called us to do. God has already determined who we are in him, and he has commissioned each and every one of us to fulfill our destiny in him. His goal for us is to live according to his plans. In order to fulfill our calling in Him, we must have a relationship with him. He wants holiness and righteousness, and he wants us to live sanctified and committed lives.

As we look at the Old and New Testament saints, they live dedicated lives and were committed in their service to God. They spent their lives focused on God, they were in tune with him, and he was able to use them in supernatural ways to proclaim his words. They were persecuted and tried; many were put to death, but they continued with faith in him.

God cannot stand sin because he is a holy God. He hates sin, and sometimes he uses someone caught up in a sinful, murderous lifestyle to change the destiny of many. Paul had a divine calling on his life; in order to fulfill that divine calling, transformation had to take place. He had to acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord. Paul had to meet Christ on the road to Damascus; this is the only prerequisite that everyone needs to fulfill. Before we can begin to pursue our divine calling in God, we have to meet with Christ. Changes are required.

Paul made a complete change. He threw off the old man and became a new man in Christ before he could be used by God. The old man died on the way to Damascus. He was called supernaturally by God. He was commissioned by Christ to be an apostle to the gentiles. This was a powerful call, a great calling, a divine appointment he had to fulfill. In Acts 22:6 KJV, we read about Paul’s calling on his way to Damascus to persecute the Christians: And it came to pass, that, as I made my journey, and was come nigh unto Damascus about noon, suddenly there shone from heaven a great light round about me. And I fell onto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest.

Jesus Christ was revealed to Paul in the spiritual realm. Now Paul had to move in the physical realm. Divine calling is the assignment that God created for us to do while we are alive in this body (the physical realm). Divine calling is also the strong inner impulse, an inclination that is motivated by God in human beings. It is God calling man, the mighty calling the weak, and the immortal calling the mortal to servitude. It is the revelation of God’s will for our life. This divine invitation from God is to set his own plans and purpose for our lives rather than us going our own way. Paul was called in the spiritual realm by Christ and in the physical this call was a called to servitude, he was commissioned and given a mandate for his life. And he did fulfill his call.

Notice: The first question Paul asked after this divine encounter with Jesus Christ was Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest (Acts 22:8 KJV). When God calls us, he reveals himself to us in many ways, like he did to Paul on the way to Damascus, like he revealed himself to me in that vision. (He always reveals himself.)

The second question in Acts 22:10 KJV was What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said unto me, Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do.

Most times, when God calls us, we have no idea what we ought to be doing or how we are going to fulfill our calling. Paul was told to go to a certain place and wait: It shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do.

When we are called, we will also find ourselves in a certain place of waiting before God. This place could be in our rooms, in our closets, alone before God. We sometimes find ourselves in the wilderness, like John the Baptist and many others in the Bible. But in this place of waiting, we are always alone with God, waiting for instructions, directions, and a time of preparation. This time of waiting could take years, and it could also be immediate. It all depends on God’s timing or the calling on our lives. In the place of waiting, hard lessons are taught—lessons of patience, trust, faithfulness, submission, and dependency on Christ. We wait while putting our trust and faith in God, who has called us. Only then can we truly begin to walk in our divine calling.

David was called by God but waited twenty years to fulfill his divine assignment. In the place of waiting, God was preparing David for service as Israel’s king. As Paul and many other prophets and apostles waited, we, who are called by God, also have to wait. Jesus waited. His disciples also waited three years; they had to be taught by the master. They were with the master, yet they had to wait. This tells me that we also ought to wait.

Paul was told, And there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do. Many are called by God but do not want to wait for an instruction or direction. Therefore, we cannot fulfill our divine calling or purpose in God as he intended for us or cannot be used by him in his own time. We sometimes run ahead of him, thinking that we are doing his will.

In that place of waiting, God will reveal to us exactly what the next move will be. The Holy Spirit himself will be our guide; he promised to be our guide. He will also send people to help us along the way. I have been waiting for a long time, yet while I am waiting, I am writing this book.

In Acts 22:12 NIV, Ananias had a divine appointment, a divine call to help Paul come into his calling, his destiny. He was called at that time for the specific purpose of meeting with Paul to instruct him. He was able to speak into his life for the restoration of his sight and give him direct instructions from God.

This also tells me, as the scripture says, that Ananias was a devout man of God, spiritually connected in the spiritual realm. He was sensitive to the power of the Holy Spirit. Because of this sensitivity, he was able to move in time and on time, or he would have missed his call to help Paul embark on his divine calling.

When we are not sensitive to the Holy Spirit, we cannot walk in the plan and purposes of God for our lives. We will not fulfill our divine calling, nor will we be able to help others to fulfill their calling. One day, as I was walking, the Holy Spirit spoke directly into my spirit. He said to me, Continuance in the spirit is spiritual. What a word! He was telling me that in order to stay connected in the spirit, I have to live in the spirit. This is why Ananias was able to deliver God’s instruction to Paul; he stayed in the spiritual, he lived in the spiritual, he was alive in the spirit, and he was connected to God in spirit. Therefore, he heard the word spoken to him by the Spirit of God and was able to act.

Acts 22:14–16 KJV say, And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth. For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard. And now why tarriest thou? Arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. Here, we see a total transformation of body, soul, and spirit.

Paul was told to be baptized (immersion). Specific instruction was given from the man of God, Ananias, to Paul. This was a confirmation to what Christ had deposited in Paul’s spirit on the way to Damascus. Ananias told Paul, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee … thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard. And now why tarriest thou? Arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. Paul was called and chosen by God to bring change to many who had never heard of the message of the kingdom, the glorious hope. Eternal life was on the heart of God for all souls who would be touched by Paul.

To fulfill God’s calling in our life, we must first change, and only then can we be truly ready to do the will of God.

God uses many ways and methods to propel us toward our calling. My first calling came at the age of eight. My second calling was at the age of sixteen. I lived most of my adult life knowing that I was called by God but not really pursuing that call. It was not until much later in my life, when God revealed himself to me a third time, that I committed myself to him. At that time, I had fought many, many battles (about which I am going to tell in the next chapter) and was now really seeking God.

On this particular morning, I was in intense prayer, praise, and worship. Customarily, I think that it is at these times God shows up and reveals himself to us (in praise and worship). He will instruct us when we are alone in our rooms. Most times, when we go before God, we seek his hands not his face; when we seek his face, he will reveal himself to us. When we are in love with him, we will seek his face, not his hand. How would you feel if you were in love with someone or is married to your spouse and whenever you approach this individual or have a conversation with this person, you ask him or her for something? Oh, give me this, give me that. I want this, I want that. This is what we do to God on a daily basis. I want, I want, I want. Do this for me, do that for me. God wants relationship, he wants intimacy, he wants our friendship, and he
