About this ebook

This collection is meant for uplifting, bringing hope, guidance, and showing the way when it seems there is none. It is an eye-opener to the success that awaits the reader in a life full of challenges and in tunnels that seem to have no light. It is not only motivational but basis its content on the Christian values that can be traced to the Word of God in the Bible that assures those with a broken heart, the sick, and the lost that there is a way to escape all the trials and tribulations of this world. Psalms 30 says we have our Lord Almighty watching over us. He lifted us out of depths and did not let our enemies gloat over us. He brought us from the grave and spared us from going down into the pit. His anger lasts for a moment, but his favor lasts for a lifetime. Psalms 30:5 clearly defines the message these poems carry and is the title to this book.

Darkest in Dawning, Merriest in Morning - Terence Razerera

Running the Race Set before You

    Born for a purpose

Everyone has a purpose to accomplish

God has a purpose for everyone

You might choose to be a doctor, a cook

    God’s choice is your purpose.

    In pursuit of your purpose,

Run the race set before you

Don’t give up hope, don’t underrate yourself

You’re a king of your own

    Don’t think too much

    You’ll spoil your focus

    Don’t think you’re a failure

Every cloud has a silver lining

Don’t believe everything your friends say

You’ll have problems of your identity and purpose

Anyway some problems are part of your purpose

No matter what traps, run on

    Give yourself self-esteem

    Inferiority complex can spoil you

    Don’t worry about your appearance

Your reason to be on earth is more important

Don’t look only on the weak side

    What about your bright side?

Don’t be a fighter who beats the air

    Don’t be jealous

    Jealousy promotes your victims

Just like Joseph and his brothers

Don’t let yourself die, you still have a purpose

    Like Simeon in the Bible

Say I’m special, and it’s easier

Know yourself, don’t be open to controlled thinking

    You will then be controlled

Then you’ll not know your purpose

    Know your identity

Establishing it is vital to your purpose

    Know your purpose for life

    The race is your life

Every step is all you do in line with your purpose

The race is not the time you live

It is the number of things you do for your purpose

Life is computed by its donation, not its duration

    Understand your purpose

Nothing is yours until you understand, even your being

Purpose is doing the right thing not the good thing

Purpose is the master of motivation

It is the mother of confirmation

It is the source of enthusiasm

    And the womb of perseverance

It is also the womb of hope

Run on to know your purpose, don’t let it burn to cinders

The race goes on until you find the vision

Of your purpose and work upon it

Or you will finish the race a loser

Inspired by preaching at a youth conference 1995

    Father, I pray for wisdom

    I pray for understanding

To tap in the source, your word

Father, that I’m equipped with knowledge

To tap in the resources of your world

    05/06/08

    To live long

    And live strong

    You leave wrong

    05/07/08

    Vision

From slumber land comes a thought

An idea of something that can’t be sought

A dream it seems to the world of reality

It’s a vision to have and to hold

It’s a creation to save and be served

    It’s just a dream; it’s nothing real

But nothing has a real meaning

    ’til you give it one

Visions need practical deliverance to fulfill

Work on them, live on them always until

’Cause positive thinking is the way forward

Precise and strategic planning, not wayward

If it really is meant to be you, then motivation

Motivation pulls you through the thick and thin of it

There’s need to know what you’re getting into

Be well versed in the field you’re venturing

    Have
