Do What You Have to Do

Frank Hydell was shot three times in the head and chest by mobster Eddie Boyle at Staten Island strip club. Otto once typed up phony transcripts, put them in a binder, and showed them to a Gambino soldier to try to convince him that the FBI had been wiretapping him.  Otto DiLeonardo was working for the SDNYPD's Organized Crime Unit when he worked on the Hydell murder case. I don't aim here to diagnose or cure all the ills of inequality in our justice system. But a careful examination of recent legal sagas around Trump and other powerful players can help us identify how they try to exploit fundamental flaws in our legal system.

David Rothkopf: Trump's hush money scheme offers a case study of how powerful people can get away with crimes while others around them don't. He says this is no defeatist eulogy for our
