    I know it’s late, but do you mind coming into my office for a quick meeting? Jason asked.

    A thrill shot through me. Did he want a quickie before heading out for the evening? Sure, I said, my voice all breathless. We’d been hooking up, but there were still so many things I haven’t done with him yet. Or had him do to me.

    I was disappointed when he left the door open after gesturing for me to take a seat inside his office. It wasn’t that I’d mind if one of the guys saw us together, but I knew he wouldn’t have left the door open if he wanted to hook up.

    You remember that application we put in for night classes? Jason asked.

    Oh! Yeah, but I figured they didn’t pick me. Wow, I barely remembered filling out all that paperwork when my boss suggested I take advantage of the tuition assistance at work. I never could figure out what I wanted to do with my life, so I never went to college or anything. But Jason was super supportive and the company wanted to look caring and diverse and stuff. There were almost no women employees so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that they decided to pick me even though my secretary job wasn’t that important.

    Well, they assigned you to the marketing track. That way you can help with presentations and brochures, things like that. But you have to start tonight or lose your place in the program.
