Traveling With Multiple Chemical Sensitivities - Dale Stubbart

Introduction – What are Multiple Chemical Sensitivities?

    Hi,

    I’m Dale Stubbart.

I maintain the website MCS-Escape at https://www.princesstigerlily.com/mcs. This website is a directory of resources for dealing with MCS – Multiple Chemical Sensitivities.

    Escape from Multiple Chemical Sensitivities

Is there an escape from MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivities)? We lived with MCS for 20 years believing that short of a miracle, there was no escape from MCS. The best you could do was escape from society, get as healthy as possible, and suffer as few chemical exposures as possible.

We lived with MCS for a few more years and started to believe that escape from MCS is possible. If there is an escape from MCS, we’ll never go back to a life that is filled with chemicals.

We’ll still avoid chemicals as much as possible. But, perhaps we won’t have to avoid others who are exposed to them.

If there is an escape from MCS, it is not a cure. A cure would be a wonder-drug. Escaping from MCS appears to be a way of life according to other resources we can find.

We’ve now come to believe that the best way to escape MCS is to live your true purpose. We offer to help you Become One with the WIND, to live your true purpose. More information is in the next chapter.

We hope that you find an escape. We offer this resource directory of non-toxic and fragrances-free resources, since even if you do escape from Chemical Sensitivities, you’ll still want to support a less-toxic world. It’s healthier for the planet and all its inhabitant – especially you.

If you have a resource to share please contact me through the website. If you would like to donate to help me maintain this directory – that option is available on my website.

30 years ago, shortly after we were married, my wife found out she had MCS – meaning she was allergic to basically everything manmade. Being an internet researcher, I started compiling resource lists to help us live with and overcome the ever-present chemicals, fragrances being the worst for her.

Being a Computer Nerd, I set up a website of those resources. You may visit the website for free.

I travel a lot. My wife also travels, but not nearly so much.

This book is a compilation of how we survive travel, and how I travel so as to not bring home quite so many fragrances to inflict on my wife.

Fragrances and other chemicals are ever-present in our western society. They severely affect the health of those with MCS, Asthma, and other respiratory conditions. Don’t just take my word for it, look at the American Lung Association website.

The MCS symptoms my wife experiences include headaches, severe face pain, brain fog, not feeling like herself, not feeling grounded, lack of energy.

Stress of any kind aggravates MCS symptoms.

All that is enough to make anybody want to crawl into their shell and hide.

But it is possible to her to travel. This book will tell you how you might also be able to travel, even if you have
