About this ebook
Krennelin Berry could never reveal who she truly was. Yet, she was tempted to do so, for love.
That line alone from this story, should reveal to you what type of romance it is. If that doesn't do it, read the first few lines of the first chapter. Or, you can read the last few lines of the story, if you want to spoil the ending. I'm not judging. You're the one who's reading the book. If you want to spoil the ending, that's your business.
Yes, this is a schmaltzy romance. The shero, Krennelin Berry, can't help that she has a crush on a Celeb named Tlotl Hsen. See, even her name lets you know the kind of story this is. It certainly informed me.
All I knew, in the beginning about this story, was its title. I also knew that the title was the main character's name. It wasn't too long until I knew the first few lines. And that confirmed where this story was going and how it was going to get there. Well, partially. This story also has it's share of surprises.
Now you know just a little bit about Krennelin Berry. You should also know that she also goes by K.R. And she's a Cadet aboard a Spaceship.
Tlotl Hsen, her crush, is a Celeb. He has his own secrets, which you'll find out about soon enough.
Some terms in this story will be familiar to you, as it takes place in Earth's future. Others, you'll need to learn from the story itself, for the same reason. It takes place far enough into Earth's future that some things have greatly changed.
If you don't like shmaltzy romance, don't worry. I have written several romances, each of them very different. You can find them all at Stubbart.com.
Also, just because this story is shmaltzy, doesn't mean that the protagonist is weak. Krennelin Berry has several methods at her disposal to level the playing field, especially when it comes to relationships. And, she's not hesitant to use them. Still, timing is everything.

About the Author
Stellar Peregrine – To the Furthest Stars
The Kiss
WHEN HE KISSED HER, she was a queen in her castle. Oh, was this ever nice. She could stay in this castle forever.
However, he had never kissed K.R. He would never kiss her. They were of different stations.
Yes, K.R. was certain that she had caught his eye. In spite of that, their paths would probably never meet again. And even if they did, even if he acknowledged her presence, what then?
Yes, several of her colleagues had become mistresses or misters. That was considered to be a legitimate way to move up in society.
Nevertheless, it was not the life for her. She wanted a man who would give her his full attention.
This man, whom K.R. currently had her eye on, was not married. And he had no mistresses or misters as far as the society pages reported. So, perhaps there was a chance.
If she wished upon a Star, and there were plenty of them out here in Space, maybe her dreams would come true. Yet, that was a fleeting wish.
K.R. broke through her revelry. She automatically came to full attention. However, it had only been an elbow nudge from her fellow Cadet. Sleeping again on duty are we?
Krennelin’s kin-line was known for its ability to be instantly alert. This meant that she had nothing to fear about being found asleep on duty.
Yet the fear was there. So, she would always come to full attention whenever there was the slightest chance that an Officer was near.
K.R. relaxed. She and G.S., the other Cadet, gossiped about their newest passengers. They didn’t really know anything about their passengers, so it was mostly speculation. Speculation on top of repeated rumors, fueled by what they had read in their favorite screen-mags and the Gossip Media.
The passengers had boarded. Then there had been a ceremony during which each passenger was introduced. If they listened closely enough, they might catch a name or two.
Some of the passengers were famous enough that they were easily recognized. One of those was her man, Tlotl Hsen.
After the pleasantries were over, the passengers would go into stasis while she, G.S., eight other Cadets, and the Officers stayed awake and on guard. Theirs was a small, but very capable Crew.
All that had just happened was per usual. Eventually, they would arrive at another Planet or Moon, possibly a large Asteroid. They would get close enough so that Shuttles or some other type of transportation from that Star Orbiter could reach them. The Stellar Peregrine was much too large to orbit anything smaller than the very largest of planets, Triple Giants and larger.
Once the Peregrine was within range, some of the passengers would be revived. Then, they would disembark.
The Peregrine might receive some new passengers while they maintained this close proximity. These new passengers would join the remaining passengers in stasis until the Ship arrived at their next destination.
A few of the passengers, including Tlotl Hsen, would remain on board until the Stellar Peregrine’s final destination. After those last passengers disembarked, the Crew would receive new passengers. Then, the Ship would turn around and head back the way it had come. The process would start all over again.
Terra Prime
ALL OF THE CADETS AND Officers on Stellar Class Spaceships were of the long-lived. Some called the long-lived Elves, after an ancient mythical kin-line from Earth.
However, both Elves, if they ever existed, and the Earth were now distant memories. Few bothered to remember Earth’s location or anything else about it.
Terra Prime was the new Universal Home. Technically, it was Terra Tertiary, the third Universal Home after Earth. Nonetheless, each new Terra was called Terra Prime.
Some referred to Terra Prime as Terra P. None referred to it as Earth or simply as Terra, due to respect for that Place of Origin.
Of course, several kin-lines had evolved on other Places of Origin. And, not all of the long-lived had evolved from Terra.
Googarantan, Emultifan, Slysl, and XQ237 were the better known among those Starting Points. Each of those places had their own histories and replacement planets.
For instance Googarantan was originally Garantan. Adding Goo to the beginning of the name was similar to adding Prime after Terra.
Somehow, in those early days, Terra had been chosen as the Universal Home for all kin-lines. Each kin-line had their own story about how that had happened. And those stories ranged in comparison from slightly similar to vastly different.
Nobody wanted to be reminded that disasters had befallen more than one Universal Home or other Place of Origin. So, location 0,0,0 for the Universal Home and all other spatial coordinates were renumbered every time the Universal Home or some other Starting Point had to be moved.
This meant that it was impossible to pinpoint exactly where Earth had been. And that kept everything about it more mysterious. Terra and its inhabitants, remained a great Legend. Not even the longestlived, now remembered anything before the current Terra Prime.
Elves, if they had ever existed, had probably been very different from the stories which were told about them. For instance, it may have been that Elves were not long-lived.
Spending Time with Tlotl
EVEN THOUGH K.R. AND her Crewmates were of the long-lived, they would probably never see their passengers after they disembarked. Well, perhaps they would see a Celeb like Tlotl Hsen on a Gossip Cast.
Normally, Krennelin wouldn’t think twice about any of them. Nevertheless, there was something special about Tlotl Hsen. There was the way that he held himself. And there was the way that he had smiled at her.
So, K.R. would take every advantage, especially when it was her turn to guard those who were in stasis in The Freezer, to dream about him lazily. The other Cadets
