BY NOW I’m sure many of you have a list of sorts of your New Year’s resolutions – perhaps it’s working towards a new fitness goal, eating cleaner or plans to quit smoking.
Mine are to continue being resolute about setting healthy boundaries with friends and family and not overcommitting to plans – especially when I know I’d rather not go to the party or get-together or dinner or whatever it is.
Over the past few months I’ve realised how much of a toll being a yes-person was taking on me and I knew something needed to be done. My solution? Becoming more intentional about prioritising myself and my needs and learning to say “no” – and I hope to put this into practice more in 2024.
