    Forever James - Eli Best

    Forever James

    When you are empty

I know that the time is near

For that gap to be filled

And when the tide is low

There is plenty of warmth here

    For the burning of coals

Too soon did my best friend die

    It will never be okay

My guilt has taken its toll

Now alas, I seize the day

    So when you cry

Remember that you are not alone

    For now we share eyes

    And when you try

I know that I should too

For we do not have much time

    When I survive

Remember that you can as well

    If you find a way

    And when I die

Remember me for what I gave

Not for what I take away.

    Supersonic

I think that I’ve found the key

For being who I should be

Now for once I’ll tell you the truth

And not just blame it on my youth

I’m feeling supersonic, and quite profound

I know what’s up, but never down

There’s no more time for the instructions

I’ll figure it out without their help

Sometimes I sit around thinking about myself

Pondering words and wondering why I’m still in good health

Now all of my books are collecting dust on the shelf

And I’m trying to trust my instincts today

Some might say everything will be okay

Some might tell you the pain will go away

But my pain comforts me, I want it to stay
