The subject matter is plucked from the authors immediate surroundings and examines personal and family values that almost anyone can relate to. While the author has attempted to write simply and gently, by design, some of the messages are stark and raw. But then life sometimes is raw, and some of its issues are pushed against our faces. If this is the case, then dance and play in the shadows, as behind every shadow is the light. The author invites you to share this light with her, because as much as this odyssey has sometimes placed the author on the swings and the roundabouts, she hopes that her reader will step off with her, knowing that the ride is indeed magical in spite of it. Carol Jennifer Soars is a former English Language and Literature teacher who taught students from primary to tertiary levels. Later, opting for an early retirement, she worked as a training consultant, eventually leaving to run her own training consultancy. Fully retired now she is reviving her greatest passion, writing.
