Secrets Change

I grew up all over Illinois. My life experiences contribute to my poetry and now I would like to provide you the opportunity to share some of those experiences with me. Some of you may relate to it and some of you may not, we all have different situations that occur in our lives as we grow up but I would love the chance to share mine and hopefully inspire and make my readers hopeful that we can make it through anything if we try hard enough. Everything I wrote came from a real life situation that I personally went through, I know I am not the only person out there that has been through the things I talk about in the poems and I know that if I would have read something like these poems back when I was going through everything they would have really touched home base with me, I know that someone out there will relate and find hope or even peace in the comfort that someone lived through the very thing they think is killing them at the moment.

Michelle Moreland

Michelle Moreland was born in Chicago Illinois in 1989. As an innocent child, she could have never imagined the tumultuous direction her life would take. From starting life in a broken home, to unimaginable situations that a child should never have to endure, she faced many obstacles. At an early age, she was a child of the system, a foster child that was bounced from place to place unable to have a sense of stability or security, this caused her to feel all alone in the world. Struggling to find herself as well as dealing with obstacles and hardships proved to be an everyday challenge. Now 27, a single mother to two amazing sons, her struggles continue as she tries to overcome the obstacles life has thrown her way while still coping with a traumatic upbringing that clearly has tried to tear her down, but because of her strength to succeed she has not allowed it. Through her life experiences she hopes to help others in similar situations. Michelle strives to be an inspiration to others who feel as she once did, to show others that no matter what life throws at you, you are not alone, you too can choose your own destiny and better yourself. Her new book titled "Secrets Change" is an emotional and heartfelt collection of poetry that allows her to inspire and give hope to others.
