    Introduction

    Oh hey! Thank you for taking a peek into my cookbook. Let me introduce myself, my name’s Luc. I’m just an ordinary guy who wanted to lose weight, be healthier and most of all happier. Sound familiar? I have tried all of the diet plans under the sun. I mean ALL of them. From weight loss groups, shakes, hypnotherapy, even the dreaded cabbage soup diet (that one was the worst).

    I successfully lost 4 stone with a weight loss group, the support was fabulous and I thought I found a plan that worked. I even became a weight loss Consultant and gained a nutrition qualification (the chubby 12 year old me would have laughed so hard at this). But I needed more. I knew what sorts of foods to eat to lose weight, but I needed to address my mental health too. That’s where, in my opinion, my problem with food stems from. I think we all really know what we need to do to lose weight and become healthier, we just need to do it. That often means learning to cope with what’s going on inside your head not just what’s on your plate.
