About this ebook
Get the Summary of Tasha Eurich's Insight in 20 minutes. Please note: This is a summary & not the original book. Original book introduction: Research shows that self-awareness—knowing who we are and how others see us—is the foundation for high performance, smart choices, and lasting relationships. There’s just one problem: most people don’t see themselves quite as clearly as they could.
Fortunately, reveals organizational psychologist Tasha Eurich, self-awareness is a surprisingly developable skill. Integrating hundreds of studies with her own research and work in the Fortune 500 world, she shows us what it really takes to better understand ourselves on the inside—and how to get others to tell us the honest truth about how we come across.

Scientists have concluded that their downfall was caused by deforestation and drought, which caused their crops to fail and trade to shift.
#2
It has been proven that people with a good understanding of themselves are more successful. However, this concept of self-awareness is still being studied by psychologists.
#3
Self-awareness is the first step towards a fulfilling life. It is a combination of self-knowledge and self-control. It helps us understand who we are and what we want from life.
#4
The author had a midlife career crisis at the age of 23 when he lost his start-up company to the recession. He spent days in bed, broke, and even thought about suicide. Six years later, he started making a bucket list and achieving goals that meant something to him.
#5
The secret to having a great day is to understand your true desires. While setting goals is relatively easy, they don’t always lead to true insight or perfect happiness. Instead of focusing on what you want to achieve, ask yourself what you really want out of life.
