The author helped a CEO named Frank who had a company that had gone down in value. The author advised him to raise the positivity levels of himself and his team. Your Positive Intelligence Quotient, or P. Q. for short, is a measure of the relative strength of your mind’s positive and negative impulses. It is calculated by taking the percentage of time your mind acts as your friend rather than your enemy. The higher the P. , the stronger your mind’s positive impulses.

The author had a difficult childhood, and as a result he developed a protective cocoon of depression. He spent years trying to find happiness, but never really found it. The author eventually decided to focus on his career, and got a MBA.
