About this ebook
Charlie is a freelance photographer but she’s barely making enough money to survive, and so feels like she’s not actually getting anywhere. What’s worse is that most of her bookings are weddings, which only serve to remind her of her loneliness. However, just as she’s at her lowest point she receives an offer from her magazine that could change her life, and as she grasps the opportunity she begins to realize what life has to offer beyond the lens of a camera.

The happy couple had exchanged their vows and were basking in the glow of new matrimony, while all of their friends and family watched on with a focus that was unique to weddings. The high-ceilinged church was filled with rapturous applause as the groom kissed the bride and all around there were happy, smiling faces. It was a joyous occasion for everyone in the church, even the reverend, who even though having officiating many of these ceremonies, still felt a warm glow inside as he blessed the newlyweds. Everyone was caught up in the emotion of the scene.
Everyone that is except Charlie, the photographer, who through her blonde bangs had to watch this ceremony of love and try not to let the bitterness or envy corrode her soul. She moved among the crowd like a ghost, she was a part of the wedding but separate as well, someone to be ignored and shunned.
She was but a shadow drifting, capturing the moments
